News Round Up 2016

Well, that's one vague website. I mean, is it a game? Collector stuff? A full interactive experience? I get the fun of not knowing what's going to happen, but if I am to pay 200 bucks for that I'd need to know what it really is all about.
i have a feeling they're trying to get in on the subscription box thing (loot crate, marvel collector corps, etc.), but with those you still generally know what you'll be getting.

They've already been doing it with pins. 3 pins in a box. 2 are open edition ones that are not yet released, the 3rd is a limited edition exclusive for that month. There are 4 variations of the limited edition one.

I'll take "Fees that affect me not one iota for $400, Alex."

I am more shocked that people are allowed to bring their tractor-trailers to Disney World.

One year, we camped with our small motorhome in the Wilderness Campground, and next to us was a family camping in the front end of a Semi-truck. They seemed very comfortable in there...she said she had almost the same amenities that we did in our Winnebago. They drove it to the parks every day....and parked again at night.

I was pretty interested in getting the Ghost Post for my wife, but I saw $199 and closed the window. :crazy2:

Edit: If you take a look at the Disney Store, it looks like some paper stuff and a couple of knickknacks.

Ugh - I LOVE Indiana Jones, but can't they just accept Harrison is too old for the role and recast it. There are some really good Indiana Jones stories out there in comics form that could be translated into great movies.

Although - set the movie in 1980 with a 75-year old Indiana Jones hired as a consultant on a movie based on his real-life adventurers during WWII called "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in which they stumble across a real-life cursed artifact that starts picking off the players one-by-one....

Value of the Ghost Post aside, I sure get tired of Disney's infatuation with the iPhone.

So many of their apps have been iPhone only in the past. The only one's that support android seem to be the ones that take your money, heh.

What has always bothered me is the difference between the digital apps and the interactive apps.

They are produced by two different divisions, but all of the Disney games are available on all 3 (apple, android, windows) platforms. Whereas with the MDX/DLR/SDP apps, they are only on apple/android with 0 intention of ever developing for Windows, and now this product is only available for apple. There is a total of 0 reasons why can't expand to all platforms

I think it has to do with Harrison not wanting to end on the last Indiana jones. He doesn't want to go out on that.

Rumor Update

With the latest news from Disney in that Indiana Jones is coming July 2019, the elusive phase 4 for DHS has been revealed. If a phase 4 happens the plan is for it to be Indiana Jones which also kind of depends on how the movie does. Phase 4 was projected to be done in 2021ish. Two different sources say this is what is happening.

Since they have a DLR ride ready to go, I could see this happening (even if there is already a variant in DAK). I'm not sure I can fathom what else they'd do. I think Muppets & Pixar have more opportunity, but I don't wield the purse strings.
