Yes! That looks beautiful! This is exactly what I was expecting them to do. I bet a lot of the Imagineers thought that they were doing a service to Rivers of America with this project. Modernizing and bringing exciting new show scenes and new levels of immersion. All they needed to do with this project is shorten the length and plant some trees in front of the show building. Instead they're theming it.

Sometimes the Disneyland crowd just needs to accept change. I'm not one to use the "This is what Walt would've wanted" card, but replacing some small scenes and trees with a beautiful mountain side is something I feel like he would've been in favor of.

I think it looks great. They found a way to compensate the attractions that will be lost with a more attractive Rivers of America. And hopefully that'll help reduce the dissonance between the very futuristic Star Wars land and the more conservative Rivers of America.

They found a way to build Indiana Jones, Space Mountain and several other attractions in parking lots and still make you think like you are in the same inmersive environment of the rest of the park, so that should be a good indicator of their abilities. I'm sure that the Disneyland version will be specifically arranged in a way that is the least evident where everything is.

It sounded to me when they presented it that the whole of Star Wars land will be indoors. Maybe I'm misintrepreting...but either way I definitely got the impression that StarWars land will be very isolated from the rest of the park - similar to how they handled Toontown by having it on the other side of the railroad tracks.

I don't believe all of Star Wars will be indoors I haven't seen anything that says it will be. I have seen that the two rides will be in some mega show buildings but the entire land won't be indoors. I don't know if I would like it that way.

They'd have to really need that space for something, and I don't think they do. It's an attraction that IS a line. No real ride mechanism to break. Just needs touch up paint every now and again.
