Just wondering if anyone has heard any news on IASW and the rehab. I know it won't be reopened until Spring 2005 so it seems like they are doing some major work. Has anyone heard anything or seen any pics? My curiousity is getting the better of me.

Hi, Ali:
I read somewhere on these boards that they are doing a major overhaul of the lighting system (looking back, it seems like it was a little dark at times) and a lot of paint. Also, there were a number of ceiling tiles that needed repaired (who pays attention to the ceiling at this attraction?) Don't know if there is anything else, or if there are any photos.

Wife and I can do without it when we go in January, but this will be my sons second trip--he's never seen it. And its my 4-year-old's first time, so we're a little bummed about that.

They are also fixing and re-dressing the dolls as needed, and replacing the sound track and sound system...it will be the "same song", but broader more "surround sound" type accoustics. A lot like the rehab of the Disneyland version a few years ago.

:wave2: Not that intentionally looked at the ceiling tiles, but once on the last trip I was taking a little power nap during this attraction. As I leaned my head back I noticed that many of the tiles were water-stained and/or chipped. Does anyone know if they are putting a new roof on the building?

Thanks so much for the photos. Judging by those pics, they are doing more than just sprucing the place up. Those walls are bright!
