Sorry Luis and Sara, while this may "belong" on the community board or somewhere else, I wanted to share my news with my R&N Board friends.

Aidan Christian "DisneyKidds" joined the Disney fan club on Friday morning. Not kidding when I say he is a big fan. He weighed in at 10 lbs 3 oz and 21.5 inches. Mom and baby are fine and I'm off to the hospital in an hour or so to bring them home.

Now if I can just find a good Disney optomotrist to properly fit him with some glasses ;).

Looks like there are a few new threads (and the continuation of some old) to check up on. I'll be back when I have some more time.

Congratulations!! I LOVE that name!

He's already half way to almost all the E-rides. Great news DK. I expect to see a DKjr. registered on the boards and doing battle with the 3pers in the future. Congrat's to you and yours.

Congrats Kidds! :) I like the name too. I may have to steal Christian for my own kid someday. I really like it!

Congratulations! I love his name.

As for those glasses, be careful because you know how kids rebel against their parents at some point. ;)

Enjoy!!!

congratulations!

Wow! That's great news. Congratulations to you and your family.

Congratulations on the addition! Look forward to seeing him at a R&N meet someday...
:D

I also love the name...my dd is Ayden (said the same way as Aidan...).

Congratulations!

Congratulations! My son is "Ian," also a pretty name, and he is the love of my life. Wishing you all some good sleep in the coming weeks -- that's what new parents need MOST! Welcome little Disney fan!

I'm an R&N lurker, just coming out of hiding to say congratulations on your new baby boy! My baby boy is a sophomore in high school now (and my baby girl is a freshman)! The time goes by fast so don't pass up any chances to hold him, play with him or spend time with him!!

Congratulations to you on your new addition! Is the nursery all done in Disney characters? Enjoy and try to sleep!:)

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. Everything is going well, and Aidan is a surprisingly good sleeper (***knock on wood*** our first two were terrible). I've heard it said that going from one to two is harder than going from two to three. Whoever said that must have been driven completely out of their mind by the third ;). It is a heck of a lot of fun having a real little one around again though.
My son is "Ian," also a pretty name.
I agree. I love the name Ian as well..............that is Aidan's older brother's name.

Oh, oh, oh, I want to know, oh, where does the time go?* You are right, the time does go so quickly. Our oldest went off to Kindergarten this week................and my wife cried like a baby because her little girl was growing up and going out of the nest. Boy, is she gonna be a wreck for the next 20 odd years ;).

*Probably an easy one.............but name the band and song.

PS - No Disney babies in the nursery. As much as we like Disney, we are more classic children's literature fans and the nursery is strictly Peter Rabbit.

I love the classics too! Peter Rabbit is the best. Neither of my kids had a Disney nursery, but DD 3 now has a Princess big girl room. I would have put ANY thing in there to get her to actually sleep there! Actually it is pretty cute.:)

DK, I completely agree. It sounds like your children might be spaced out a bit like mine. My oldest just started first grade this year then I have a 2 1/2 year old, then a 14 month old!! When I "accidently" got pregnant with my third, all my customers would tell me that the more children you have the easier it gets. So yes, they all were insane!! Have two is so much harder than having one, and three is beyond my control sometimes!! But they are fun, and lots of joy. My husband just said this morning to my two older ones that Mommy Disney scarred you for life. Is this a bad thing? :p

Okay, so you're saying I can't take any consolation in those assurances that the third isn't any more difficult?

I'm 13 weeks along with my very unexpected third baby. But maybe since my kids are spaced farther apart it will be easier...big brother will be 9 and big sister will be 4 when baby arrives. But goodness....you folks have me scared. That's going to be me....completely driven out of my mind by the third.

Peter Rabbit is a wonderful nursery choice. We did Paddington Bear the first time (had to make everything myself!) and didn't really have a theme the second....this time baby probably won't even get a nursery (never used it with the second, so why bother?) There is some nice classic Pooh stuff out there, though...and I love those stories even more than Beatrix Potter or the Paddington ones. But that's not Disney Pooh. I'm not a huge fan of Disney Pooh, except for the first movie...no literary value whatsoever. (Pet peeve of mine....the watering down of Pooh in the past several years)
