Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

6 more days until the 2nd trimester and 5 more days until Disney :cool1: :cool1: Even though I have to be wheel chair bound I am happy to go away with the hubby and relax...perhaps a massage is in order!

I definitely think a massage is in order! Have a wonderful trip!

I had purchased a full body pillow and it didn't help at all. I have been suffering from major joint aches (SPD) and I finally found something that helps, its my miracle pillow. I got it at Walmart its shaped like a candy cane but it relieves all the pressure on my hip joints. It took a couple nights to get used to it, but now I love it! It is a bit bulky and takes up a bit more than half a queen a size bed, but its the best investment I made.

That is my preferred pregnancy sleep pillow as well.

I failed my GD test this morning:guilty: I threw up all morning anyway, so I couldn't eat anything. Then I had to drink that orange stuff:eek: Then drive an hour to the dr's office, only to be told I failed it by 4 pts! They are setting up the 3 hr test at my local hospital so I don't have to drive all the way back to my dr's office for it. But it still means another day off of work.

I didn't feel like shopping after that-and the fact that it is cold and raining here today. I did go by Target and get one pack of Pampers swaddlers, one box of wipes, and a baby thermometer. Just felt like I had to buy something! Oh, and I ended up getting a box of cereal for that darn Disney toy!:rotfl:

I also got my paperwork for my tubal today. The dr said it would be done a few min after Katie is born, as long as I have an epidural.

I have used a body pillow for years. I have a bad back and find it really helps. There are only 2 bad things I can say about them. 1. When you are out of town, it is harder to sleep because you will be used to sleeping with a body pillow. 2. Harder to make up the bed. Both my husband and I use one, so we have lots of pillows on the bed.

I have been trying to get over this stupid cough for almost a week now. Ugh! I makes you so tired.

I orderd a chandelier for the baby's room yesterday. It is so beautiful. Found it at Pottery Barn kids and it is called the Mia Chandelier. Her room is going to be the nicest room in the house. I guess when you have been married 12 years and waited 6 years to have a baby, you tend to go overboard. My husbands just smiles and laughs at/with me. He says as long as we don't need to buy a storage building to keep all her stuff in, it's okay.

Ann, You will be fine...if you get too tired, get a scooter like I did. I think you remember that Tom made me get one since I am semi high risk but it was the best thing I did. Maybe just get it for longer days.

I went for my BPP, NST and Dr visit today and have been scheduled for an induction for 3/7! :cool1: My BP was also high so he is doing another test for pre-enclampsia (sp) and I have an appointment with the perinatalogist tomorrow...

Hope everyone is doing well! :grouphug:

Hi ladies,
So we are TTC. If I get PG between Feb and March I would be due in Nov. Now my 30th is in Jan. I know it sounds silly but to me 30 is a big one. I wouldn't be able to go in Jan. I would go in July or Aug. So I guess I would be celebrating my 30 1/2 birthday. Anyway my question is has anyone taken a 9 or 10 month old to the parks? How has it gone?
TIA

So I had my appt today, I'm 28 weeks 3 days...I'm measuring 34 weeks!! Ya, I'm cooking another huge kid.

So I scheduled my csection for 4/29, but that will more than likely change. I have ultrasound scheduled in 3 weeks and have my 32 week appt the next day. We'll see hwo big he is then. I was shooting for 4/30, but the OB that I have only met 1 time is one w/one of my regular ones. The 2 that have followed me w/this baby and my 2 year old are both on 4/29...so I picked that day.

Can we update my date on the list??

Thanks

We took DS at 5 months, 11 months, 14 months, 16 months, and 23 months...we wanted to have him earning his ears early. The easiest trips in my opinion were when he was an infant. He would sleep in his stroller and we could do what ever we wanted. Once he could walk, it became a little harder. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. We were able to take him on rides and we have great memories. We have already planned on first trip with little Emma for November 09, she will be 5 months.

pixiedust: Baby pixie dust coming your way, good luck TTC.

I took Alexaner when he was 6 weeks, 11 months and 20 months. I think he might have gone another time or two but I can't remember. The times before 1 year were the best. He was able to look around and check things out but still slept in the stroller. 9 or 10 months would be easy!!

I am also TTC, #2 for us.

Stacey - Yikes!! You got some big ones!! :-) Alexanders birthday is 4/24.

So does anyone have one of those full body pillows? It's starting to get harder to find comfortable positions to sleep in and I'd like to invest in one of those. If so, where did you find it and how much did it cost you?

I had one before, but had purchased it at Wal*Mart years ago for <$10
DH keeps trying to steal it from me so I tried to find him one on Valentine's Day, but was not successful at Wal*Mart, K*Mart, Sears, JCPenny, etc... :confused3

Not until March 27th. Feels like forever. Then I can finally register and start calling the little one by their name. And DH will probably permanently attach himself to the belly (at least until I give birth) :thumbsup2

Wow! 22 weeks, right? I'm so glad I didn't have to wait that long! :scared1:

Having any feelings one way or the other yet? :)

(DH keeps telling me to take care of his 'boy' now... oy. :rolleyes1 )

Aww.. thats a bummer! When do you do the 3 hour?

Who'd you get? So far I've gotten 3 Goofy's, dangit! :rotfl:

I got the freakin' car:headache:

I don't know about the 3 hr yet. I called my local hospital, and they said they could do it, but had to talk to my dr. I called my dr and left the message with the receptionist, and asked that they call me back and let me know so I could let work know. This was at 1pm, and it is now 7pm. I guess I'll call back tomorrow and find out when I'm supposed to go.

Ugh, I hate that.
The day I thought I had heartburn (turns out it was the gallstones, but I didn't realize that yet) I called my OB because I was miserable. This was 1:30pm.
She didn't bother to call in the prescription (well, her office didn't) until 3:45.
I was pretty po'ed. What takes so long?? I sat at the pharmacy waiting. Where she told me to go.

I hope they get back to you tomorrow!

Sorry about getting the car... I don't have either of them yet. I want to put them all on a shelf in the nursery or something. So far I've got 2 Donalds, 3 Goofys, Mickey, Mike, Sully and Remy.

If you'll pm your address, I'll send you the car. Neither kid wanted it. Dd9 just wanted the Minnie.

I am so getting that! Thank you for the link, it's just what I was looking for :thumbsup2

The pillow is awesome, I hope you love it as much as I do. Its great for sitting in bed too, I prop some pillows up over it and curl the bottom to put my feet up. Its the most comfortable pillow, well it is now, the first few nights it was really stiff but after that its :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

So.. being the girl super behind on things to do... I'm going to go to Social Security to get my name changed today.
I only got married in May :rotfl:
