Well.
Not heartburn.

Gallstones...

..so.. Not heartburn.
:grouphug: Gallstones are the worst!! I had them right after Mikalah was born. They say it is really common to get during pregnancy, and right after. Make sure you dont eat anything greasy!!! Also... I have heard that lemonade can help durng an attack. :confused3 I dnt know how accurate that is, but its what I heard.
I had a pretty bad day yesterday. We had purchased a brand new washer and dryer set at Sears before Black Friday during a really good deal. Well, it just finally came in last week and DH picked it up yesterday. As he was installing, he realized he forgot a new gas line connector. With everyone here sick, I was dying to get out of the house (plus I had a 20% off coupon for Big Lots), so I headed out the door, walked over to my van and slipped on the ice. My feet went out from under me and I landed on my tailbone (and somehow UNDER the van :confused3 ). Finally was able to pull my huge butt up and get my cell phone to have DH come out and help me (after him ignoring 5 minutes of horn honking :confused3 ). I brushed myself off and didn't feel too bad, so I got in the car and went to Sears. When I got to Big Lots, my back started hurting more and for the first time in a long time, I was actually waddling again.

I had called my mom (who was visiting my stepbro an hour away) who continued to freak out and tell me to call someone. When I was in the checkout line, I had my first good contraction. Had another 20 minutes later after I got home. My back was hurting pretty bad, so I came online to research. It said call OB, so I called L&D at the hospital, knowing that my doc was on call. They gave me her answering service and she called back and told me being so far along, I could have ripped or torn the placenta and if our blood mixed, it wouldn't be good. So, I went up to the hospital. They got me on the monitors and drew my blood....and I waited...and waited. I was actually having contractions for the 1st 2 hours, pretty steady. They assumed that I was going into/in labor. Then, nothing.....they just disappeared for a while. Finally, my doctor came to see me and told me to just go home. They are supposed to call me with the results of the blood work today. She knew I had already been there 4 hours (4 hours!:crazy2: ) and had only eaten a bag of chips since noon (it was now 9PM).

I am pretty sore today. Hurts to stand up and walk. And my cold is now full force..... Ok, enough whining! Hope everyone else is feeling good!:goodvibes
Oh NO!! Im glad you are okay. :grouphug:
My ds reads those to! he just digs them!

You know.. we should be glad we're an internet club.

Put us all in the same room and we wouldn't have enough toilets for people to get sick in, enough tissues to go around for those of us that are sniffly cold sick nor would we all be able to sit down comfortably..
What a group we would be, if we were in person!

Hope everyone has a better week than weekend! I'm anxious to see what my OB wants to do...

any suggestions for my 6 year old? she is an advanced reader - they have her reading at a 4th grade level at school ... level R, which really means nothing to me.

What about the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books? I loved those as a kid.

I need GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!

It's the season, isn't it?!

Yum!

Oooohhhh! I love girl scout cookies! Too bad I will be on a diet by the time they get here.

How's the gallbladder today Piecey?

Hope everyone is feeling better! I'm still feeling too sick for labor...:rotfl: like it's my choice. Definitely been feeling a lot more of activity since my fall.

I hear ya on the fall. I fell hard on the ice right before xmas and I am still hurting. Though I was not pregnant like you and luckily DH was carrying Caleb. Hope everything is well with baby.

I was fortunate enough not to fall on the ice or have gallbladder problems last week (and I'm sorry to hear about those), but I did get dizzy, trip on the doormat, and fall face first into the glass door at church yesterday. OUCH! VERY embarrassing and my forehead and nose still hurt this morning even though they don't look bruised. Also, I'm' having sinus issues and blowing my nose is painful.

I agree that you couldn't put all of us in the same room without some scary consequences.

Feel free to laugh at the mental picture of my smacking into the door, though. That's why I posted this instead of keeping it to myself.

For those of you who are really hurting today, feel better!

Still hurts a little but nothing I can't take.
In comparison, this is a breeze!

Go figure, though, my OB is on vacation.
The nurse practitioner referred me to a surgeon at 9AM this morning and the surgeon has still yet to get back to my OB office to let them know whether or not he will even see me.

Ugh. Our healthcare system is very screwed up.
I'm waiting on a nurse to talk to a doctor so that she call my nurse back and make an appointment for me and then that nurse can talk to my nurse practitioner, who will then tell the nurse to call me to tell me to go to an appointment.. JUST to find out whether or not I should even have the surgery.

Stupid.

And i've been waiting all day.
Does it really take this long to decide if you're even going to SEE me?
They're not deicding on the surgery (or at least, according to my OB's nurse they're not) they're just deciding whether or not they'll see me! :sad2:

Piecey -that is so wrong!! shouldnt it be up to YOU if you are seen since you pay the bills????

I called my OB this am and asked to be seen :cool1: this has to be a first! I wanted to get checked!!! DH and I were debating on his attending a funeral 5 hours away tomorrow - I said go, he said no.

He's not going.

I have lost weight since last week, so her school of thought is that the baby will be here by the end of the week. Still not a lot of progress, although I now know what the awful pains are.

Her head is so low...you are not going to believe this ... she is PINCHING my CERVIX between her HEAD and my BONE!!! This is why it feels like she is packing an exacto knife in there and trying to cut her way out!!!

Got a RX for my wonderful little bottom issue. Dr said oh dear. we need to get this under control before you go into real labor. The pharmacist lady looked at me with such pity when I picked it up ... I just cant WAIT to try it out:rotfl2:

Hope you all are doing better this week...:grouphug:

That is pretty screwed up. I hope they get things straightened out soon. The last thing you need right now is stress, on top of pain, on top of being pregnant!:goodvibes

Ouch!!! Oh Kellie...I feel for you so bad right now! The only good thing is that when you do dilate, she should just fall right out...:lmao: . If only it were that easy.

I'm glad you got your medicine! Hopefully you will feel better before labor too!:goodvibes

princess: It is a Girl !!!!!!!!!princess:

Congratulations! I am so happy for you!

:lmao:
lisa, you make me laugh ... although the falling right out thing seems to be the popular consensus today. if only it were that easy...
i always roll my eyes at those stories of girls that give birth at home not knowing they were pregnant....yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh, like that is POSSIBLE??

I KNOW. Seriously.. how could you not know?

I do know someone who didn't know-but it is a sad story. The dh grew up across the road from me. They are in their early 40s, have a couple of young teens, and she is overweight. She thought she was going through menopause. She finally went in for her yearly checkup after not having a pd for 7 months, and was pregnant. She had never felt movement. They were in shock but happy. Testing showed that there were severe problems though, and she delivered a stillborn baby in the 8th month.

I also had a classmate who hid her pregnancy for 5 months and said she didn't know, but I think she was in serious denial.
