CONGRATS on the littlepirate: !!!!

Now y'all have me excited about pony princesses and the 1900 meal!!! We had promised Annabel we would go when she turned 4 ... did not imagine it would be w/ an infant. If I were not Matron of HOnor at the WDW wedding we would for sure wait til Tessa was 1. We last went when Annabel was 1 and Jillian was 3 1/2 and it was just a dream trip all around.

I am still undecided on baby gear to take ... what would you all do? We are thinking we should take the baby bucket seat w/ the snap-n-go stroller so that we can take the seat in for meals and have her relax there and us get a a break...but we also want to take our mac twin traveler for the other girls...somehow I cannot imagine us with TWO strollers and THREE kids managing to have a nice cheery time at WDW at EASTER! Ack.

We are staying at Shades of Green (the military resort) and that is nice b/c it is inexpensive for us and a short walk to the Poly to use the monorail ... but we will still rent a car to be able to do diaper/food runs...and get to HoopDeDoo, etc...Maybe we will just drive places and skip the bus system?

See, my brain is soooooooooooo scattered :p :p :crazy2: :upsidedow

We used a bjorn, minimally, w. the other girls...so we could take that...but I keep reading how awesome slings are. We dont have anywhere that sells them and so I will need to order one online...seems like everyone has a favorite and its hard to choose w/out trying it on!!!

Are any of you short (I am 5') and have a sling you love? I am thinking slinging it might be the way to go.

My little boy was the best snuggler! Now he is 11, and glued to his daddy. But when daddy isn't around, he tries to pile his 110 lbs as close to me as possible! He hugs me and rubs my belly and talks to the baby. He'll even lay down and watch HGTV with me. UNTIL he hears his daddy pulling into the driveway, then you'd be surprised at how fast that chunky little boy can move!:rotfl2:

pirate: Congratulations on your little boy!!!!!pirate:

As far as what to do with a little boy, it will come naturally! My DS loves to snuggle. He is wonderful. I think you and I are very blessed to be having one of each!

We looked at the Odyssey. I think they are nice for the money. DH swears by his Hyundia. They are getting really good rating now.

We too looked at the Honda Odyssey. But ended up going for a used 08 Chrysler Town and Country for even less than the hondas were going for. ANd we got a lot more options than we would have gotten on the odyssey. And it gets the same gas mileage as my car did and we have soo much more room. We love it!:drive:

Then when I started having problems with my hands and wrists, and couldn't pick up a large glass of tea by myself, I really think people thought I was exaggerating. I remember telling the dr about it, and he immediately said "you have carpal tunnel." It felt so good to have a diagnosis! Luckily, it went away on its own after he was born, and I didn't get it with dd9. I'm really hoping I don't have a bout of it this time either.

You are not alone! I had it with my first pregnancy BAD! I couldnt even write a check. I am so nervous to get it with this one. It started last time around 20 weeks and I am 18 weeks....and they are starting to get a bit numb and swollen at night. I fear it is coming, but now I still get to change diapers and care for a 1 year old....eek!

I am going with mind over matter. I am going to start wearing my wrist braces tonight in hopes of holding it off a bit longer. By the end of my first pregnancy I had both my wrists in braces and on contant ice packs. Ice was the only relief I could get. The good news was that it did go away soon after birth....

I think the carpal tunnel is the one thing I am dreading the most...and yes, in an informal poll...it seems many women get it to some degree...although some more serious than others...but I completely believe not being able to lift a drink glass...

Good luck!

i drive a honday odyssey that my husband bought me when DD was born in 2005.
i love love love it.
it is very roomy. the seats reconfigure and slide diffferent places. there is a lazy susan in the FLOOR to hide stuff..i have the heated leather seats, so we are always cozy and i dont care it they make a mess b/c it wipes right up. we got all we could afford b/c it seems like hondas run FOREVER ...so we loaded it up and i am gonna drive it til the wheels fall off.
it really is great for either of us to drive and hubby is super tall while i am super short.
we have had no problems.
kids like the dvd player/headphones.
the rear seats fold into the floor.
when they are up , there is still TONS of storage room in the back...
the kiddie window shades are built into the windows and retract into the door, i really like that ;)
i cant think of a thing i dont like.
i would caution you NOT to test drive it if it really is out of your price range. i balked at the cost and went to drive other vans b/c i didnt want to spend that much and nothing really felt as solid, safe and comfortable to me.
Just my opinion...

I passed my three hour test yesterday!!!:cool1: :cool1: No GD! :cheer2: So happy. I need my carbs to stay happy. :rotfl2:

I loved mine for the first 6 months or so and it was so easy. However, I must have bought 10 different kinds before I found one that was easy and comfy for me. I am short and heavy, and ultimately found the snugli was what we ended up in after the first couple of months. We eventually bought the jeep, because my little guys thighs were too big for the snugli as he got bigger. I did like the maya, but when he was asleep, I could never get him out of it. I tried so many kinds...I have them all in a box to try again with the new little guy.

But EVERYONE I asked had a different favorite. I would try to borrow or try them before you buy. It was a very subjective thing....and what one loved another hated...

Good luck on your search!

We have the 8 passenger Sienna.. It is nice. It fits everyone, and I guess that all I can ask, right? Im not loving it yet, but I never wanted the thing. Unfortunately... 4 kids wont fit in a hatch back. :rotfl2:

I am trying to figure out what to get for our babies! I have been looking at a double sling, or a moby wrap.. I dont know.. There doesnt seem to be to much for twins.

YAY!! I only had to do the 3-hour once with my son. (I also passed, and I remember the relief.) I don't even want to do the one-hour this time. As in, at my first OBGYN appt. with this baby, I saw someone else drinking that nasty orange soda and whined to my DH "But I don't wanna take that test again." I will though...

I know. YUCK. Yesterday was the WORST. I was starving, and they couldnt find my veins.. Boy, I was CRABBY when my husband picked me up. :rotfl2:

Scheduled induction for Feb. 5th if no labor before then. They don't want me going past 41 weeks...that will be 41+1 day.

At 3 cm dilated I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that you are in labor long before the 5th of Feb.

I would (and will) be crabby too. I remember my sister going with my when I had my first one done saying "Don't throw up, they will only make you start over again." I hadn't hit her since we were little kids, but I almost did that day. (And again a few months later when I was in labor and she was trying to be cheerful during one of my nastier contractions. Ah! Family...)

Because she got really big during her two pregnancies. :confused3 I dont see the similarities.. But OKAY. Sure. nod and smile.. nod and smile.. :rotfl2: By the way.. both her kids weighted about 7 pounds each, and I am already carrying MORE then 7 pounds of baby. Good thing she is in California. :rotfl2:

Me too! :cheer2: I know I'd rather have my labor start on its own than be induced.

I had an OB appointment today, too. Not dilated! But that's okay, it's a little early for that.

Congratulations!!!:cool1:

See, this is what I understood it to be when I was reading up on being 2cm dilated. My wife called, the nurses said she was 2cm, I read that as normal and could go another few weeks. 9 hours later we had a baby.

Good luck with yours!

That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard!?!?!?! She is probably a bit jealous since twins are a very special blessing indeed....
