Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

Wow ladies! Thanks for making me feel better about my faux pas!

I'm supremely lucky to be on DH's absolutely wonderful insurance. Insurance that they will be renegotiating this summer. :(

You should double check about enrollment due to extreme circumstance. Every insurance co I've had has a clause about enrollment anytime due to job loss or other things--they may be willing to work with you.

Piecey, that prof sounds really great--I hope it all works out!
december--I'll be right there with ya crying tonight. The show just won't be the same without him, especially in addition to losing Warrick (I don't care about Sara lol) I think CSI NY might take over as my favorite. I just love me some Gary Sinese...:teeth:

So after my fun day yesterday, I felt horrible last night. I was super sick and had a stupid migrane on top of that. It was one of my worst nights--and I'm not feeling as good as I normally do this morning either. I hope I'm not relapsing, cuz things were getting a bit better...

Hey, isn't that one of the reasons for this thread? To bond together in all things crazy and pregnant? :rotfl:

I think my favorite part of pregnancy has been the memory loss. I just LOVE standing there in the middle of a conversation and blanking completely and having no idea what ANYONE was talking about. Truly wonderful.

... I just got my teeth cleaned and the dentist was all afraid to touch me "just in case" :confused3 I don't think he believed I was in my second trimester.. I wanted to go "Buddy, baggy T-Shirts, a hoodie and sweatpants can do a lot for a girl!" :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I keep just saying stupid things. I have the memory thing too, where I'm like, wait, why am I standing here?

Yeah, I must admit.. it's wonderful. I think the worst part is that I work as a teller and we're a SLOW branch so if I'm working on a business deposit and the girls say something to me I have to go "Uh. Hang on. Uh. Crap. What was I doing? WHERE DID THIS MONEY COME FROM?!"

j/k.. I'm not that bad.. yet..

Ugh... I had a wonderful night last night. I ate dinner with the kids, like every night. Puttered around in the kitchen for a bit, went downstairs to check the mail.. Then I sat on the couch. Next thing I know Im projectile vomiting my way down the hallway, and ALL over my bathroom. :headache: I felt FINE one minute, next Im barfing. ARE YOU KIDDING?!??!?!??!! My kids were so grossed out. :lmao: Mikalah was like.... EEEWWWWWWW!!! Mommy barfed on my shoes!:rotfl2: I totally did, too. My son went and woke up my husband... Daddy!! mommy barfed in the hallway!! My poor husband woke up like, WHAT??

He said that since I have cleaned up so much kid puke, it was time for them to clean up mine!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Its was nuts. I have no idea what happened.

Try standing in front of a class of high schoolers when your mind goes blank! I can't even add things right most days. I tell the kids to watch my arithmetic and that it doesn't bother me to be corrected!

I didn't care for Sara either-could take or leave her. But I miss Warrick! I understand why they had to let him go, but it just isn't the same. And now Grissom-I hope the show can recover.

Are you feeling better today? I don't know if I could have cleaned it up without puking more! I'm still puking in the mornings, and had a bad spell of it Sat. night, but most days are better now.

:scared1: Wow! I hope you are feeling better today. Sounds like you ate something your kiddo's didn't like! I was looking at your ticker and I can't believe you are almost 30 weeks already! Getting so close!:thumbsup2

At least you have a sense of humor about it!! :rotfl:

Oh yeah! I felt FINE right before, and right after it happened. In fact.. I was sitting on the bathroom floor thinking what a waste of an awesome dinner that was, and how I better go polish off what was left before the hubby got to it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It was so out of the blue!

I know it. Crazy little buggers. :lmao:

6 more weeks. I am PRAYING to make it 6 more weeks!! Then we sign the old eviction notice and get these buggers OUT. :rotfl2: I cant believe it. I was talking to my husband about how much I am not loving this pregnancy, and he was like.. Yeah, you will be wishing you were still pregnant when these babies are keeping you up all night!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: He knows me well. :rolleyes1

So when does the nesting stage hit??

I keep telling DH we need to get cracking on the nursery and he told me there is nothing I can do to help, the poopiehead.
Excuse me, but I think I can apply joint compound MISTER!

I'm hoping to not have the nesting stage hit me in the extreme with nothing done.

Right now my nursery is missing a wall... has wallpaper paste all over a wall... has a place that needs filled with joint compound on the other wall (We ripped out the second, pointless, closet and we need to fill around where the frame was) ... Crown moulding that needs removed because it's hiding a 1/4" gap between wall and cieling that needs filled with joint compound.. and chunks of closet, plaster, dust, nails, etc all over the carpeted floor-- while we plan to get rid of the carpet and redo the hardwood underneathe.

I think I am within reason to be flipping out slightly here.
But I'm disguising it with telling him that I really want to assemble my crib!

Ahhhh... Nesting. We live in a very small apartment right now, and we need some serious rearranging of things before these babies show. Which.... if I havent mentioned will be in 6 WEEKS. :scared1: I cant do it. SHoot.. We went to the post office today to pick up a package, and I needed a 3 hour nap afterwards!:lmao:

Anyhow.. Everytime I see my husband get on the computer, or playing a video game.. I want to shoot him in the face with a bazooka. HELLO!!! Stuff to DO! We are super unorganized, and we need to get organized!! This isnt just one baby coming! Its TWO!! I am going to be a little to BUSY when they get home to worry about stuff..

:rolleyes1 Its making me a little crazy right now. :crazy2: :lmao:

One of the women on my twin boards just had her babies at 37 weeks.. One was 6lbs 9oz... the other was 8lbs 2ozs.. HOLY COW. Thats a lot of baby.

My goodness! Thats a lot of baby especially for twins!!

I wonder if the other twin is like "HEY you could have shared some food ya know!!"

So when does nesting hit?? DH keeps taking things that could be easy to "fix" (i.e.: enough to get us by for right now!) and making them harder than they need to be. Or bigger projects.

For example. The cousin that has a background in carpentry has been re-doing our bathroom (old one was blue, hot pink and full of asbestos) and recently finished. Now DH wants him to tear all the plaster walls out of the Nursery and just do new dry-wall.

Yes, technically.. I'm sure thats the better option. But dangit, we need to get in there! :scared1:
I'm freaking out here.

It doesn't help that DH randomly (the morning of my grandmother's visitation  ) ripped the cieling out of the master bedroom.
We try not to talk about that, though. :rolleyes1

Im sure its different for everyone. I never had it with my other pregnancies. Just this one. Probably more towards the end of you pregnancy.. When you know those babies are coming soon, and you have nothing done!:lmao: I have been in a straight panic since Christmas!

Dang. So I can't use nesting as an excuse to just do enough to get by.

Looks like the nursery is getting it's plaster walls replaced with dry-wall.

Dangit! :rotfl:

Maybe I'll get a cieling eventually.. *sigh*

Weather check!

-8 w/wind chill of -24 degrees here! :scared1:

My sister's neighbor (and friend), who was due 3 days after me just went to the hospital last night. Hoping it's my turn soon!:hourglass

You're in the homestretch! :cheer2:

DH will FINALLY be able to paint the nursery this weekend. We have a few things to buy before the baby comes. Two weeks from now I'll be full term! :hyper:

Wishing you the best Lisa! I hope you go soon...Thank you for keeping up the thread!

I am nesting big time. Or as Staley stated, had almost nothing done and now if freak out mode. :crazy2: We are seeing the light at the end so that is good...

Next week I start with twice a week ultrasounds and Non Stress Tests. I am also trying to keep my sugar levels in check with diet. I have had some high numbers (not that high, just a few numbers out of range) so hopefully the doc will not put me on meds for the Diabetes.

I wish everyone else well too!

Thanks guys! I think the end is so much harder when they keep expecting the baby to come really early. Happened all 3 times. I just have no patience at the end. :drive: Sorry, that smilie has no point whatsoever...I just wanted to use it!:rotfl:
