What are you getting your degree in?

DH is getting his Master's in Education. I've been nagging him to get going with it so that he could take a couple of semesters off when the baby comes, but this was his first semester. Luckily he doesn't have to finish it for 8 more years, but the way tuition keeps jumping, it's going to be hard.

School counseling. I've wanted to do this a long time, and finally decided to start it this summer. I've taken 4 classes, with 8 to go. I hope to finish in May of 2010. UWA is on an 8 week term, so I'm taking one at a time right now. I'll need to take 2 this summer, but we'll see how that works out!

Cool. That was on my short list of career choices. Always thought it would be rewarding.

I love summer classes. Yes, it's a lot of stuff for such a short time, but it's over more quickly in some cases. Best of luck!

I love the educational environment, and working with kids, but I'm just burnt out in the classroom. This is my 12th year, and I teach high stakes classes. No child left behind is a pain in the rear! I want an office, with a door I can shut! I'd love to find somewhere to work under an emergency licence next school year, but definitely want to be a counselor by the next. I love my school, but I don't know that it is the best place for my kids, so I'm planning to start looking elsewhere after Christmas.

My DH loves it too. I could never be a classroom teacher--I don't have the patience. But I LOVE being a librarian. Working with the public can get hairy, but working with the kids is nearly always awesome.

Hi ladies! I am a newbie to this thread. I just found out this last week that I am expecting my first child. I am such a huge mix of emotion right now and sometimes I get so overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the father of my baby has decided he has no interest in being a part of our lives which makes my situation a bit harder. Thankfully, I am moving back in with my parents and they are being super supportive of me. I had planned on going back to school in the fall so they are going to help me out with that when the time comes too. I feel scared but happy at the same time. I am the same age my mom was when she had me (22---going to turn 23 in March) so it's not like I am super young or anything. But being that it's my first kid and the dad is out of the picture...well I am just really trying to take it all in still. Anyway, I have been looking all over the internet for different support groups and stuff but then it occurred to be that maybe the DIS would have some kind of place for new moms. And sure enough, it does It will be nice to have a place to come to talk about everything I am going through, especially since none of my friends can really relate.

OMG, this is not happening! I can't stop peeing! TMI but I barely go at all, but I feel like I HAVE to like every 15 minutes. This is not happening the day before I leave for WDW! Ack!

Me too!!! I cant stop peeing!! I have been delegated to the couch for the rest of this pregnancy, and trying to roll my fat butt up off the thing to go pee.... YIKES. I swear I am going to put my DD's potty chair next to the couch.

I remember being pregnant with DS I had no bladder control at all. DH would get me laughing and I always thought I was going to pee my pants. It gets worse after having a baby, for me anyway. TMI I know. This might be because I am in the older prego group however.

Tuesday I have an ultrasound... 32 oz. of water and not peeing for at least an hour and a half...are they crazy!!!!

Oy... Dont I know it. I had pneumonia when I gave birth to my second.. All that coughing... I was wetting my pants constantly.

And ugh, so much for me not getting sick in the evenings. Went to dinner for my mom's b-day tonight and within a few bites of my sandwich I was running to the bathroom where it came right back up I managed to eat a little bit more after that but I still feel pretty nauseated. Yuck.

I've been MIA again...we were effected by the ice storms in the northeast big time. It hit us hard. we just got power back about 4 hours ago and it was out since 9pm thursday.

The kids and I went to my parents and hubby stayed w/the dogs to watch the pipes in the cold. night before last it was 32 in the house! Hubby was all bundled up. We have one of those fake electric fireplaces, but it decided not to work. Friday am, I went to work, it was horrible getting there, trees, power lines everywhere!! My normal 10 minute drive was over an hour (4 miles).

My oldest doesn't have school until at least Wed...I'm hoping the daycare is open tomorrow, as hubby leaves for phily for work and I really can't take anymore time off!!!

Today was a rough day. I threw up everything I ate today. I really hope I can make it through work this week, then I get 2 wks off. Maybe I'll feel better with some rest.

Well, I didn't have the morning sickness like you are, but I was VERY tired until about the end of the first trimester. My first prenatal appointment was at about 8 weeks, and I sat waiting in the doctor's office looking for a place to nap! I had no energy; it was pathetic. The second trimester will be better.

Move my due date up a week...6/23/09

Baby's heart rate was 160 and fetus was measuring about 3 inches. That makes me 13 weeks now.

I was tryingt to find the link about heart rate someone posted, if someone can help thanks.
