Congrats to all of you!!

Is anyone else super-duper incredibly hormonal?

I can barely stand to talk to my husband anymore (He irritated me before but holy smokes, is it bad now!)...

I keep jumping at my DH and crying at the drop of a hat. I feel so bad.

:lmao: Heck yeah! I tried to go shopping with my family this weekend. It ended up with my husband grabbing the kids and hiding in the living room while I locked myself in the bedroom for 2 hours. :rotfl2: He was also a little afraid that I might kill him in his sleep. I was thinking about it, let me tell ya. ;) :lmao:

I also scrubbed my kitchen from top to bottom today... while I was bawling my eyes out. No reason.. Im just a little crazy right now. :rotfl2:

I have a question. I know we're supposed to avoid deli meats, but does that include cheese too? I don't know if I can survive on PB&Js for the next 8 months.

Any cheese made from milk that has been pasteurized will be okay; hard cheeses have always been considered fine. I'm in Ohio like you, and it's actually HARD to find soft cheeses like brie or blue that haven't been pasteurized. With pre-cooked deli meats, you have to heat them until they're steaming.

Well, I have wanted to divorce my husband every pregnancy. I guess that counts!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Darn hormones! Of course I blame it on his behavior.:thumbsup2

:rotfl: I've had those thoughts from time to time. And the other day I almost cried watching a diaper commercial! It's so weird, I hardly feel like myself some days.

:rotfl: Luckily, that's the only time I have these thoughts! Good thing he's so cute!:lmao:

When I was pregnant with DD (mind you this is over 11 years ago), there was a phone or cell phone commercial with a man on an airplane and the wife on the porch and the song "Rocket Man" by Elton John was playing in the background. This commercial made me cry every time I saw it and still to this day, I tear up when I hear that song. How funny is that!

You only have to avoid soft cheeses.

I'm still throwing up daily at 15 wks. Once a day is a good day, but usually more than that. I'm not craving anything, and make myself eat. The dr told me yesterday that everything looks great, and maybe that is just normal for me. I did the same thing with my older kids, especially my son. I'm really hoping to be hungry on Thanksgiving, and not throw it up! I have my next appt to find out the baby's sex (hopefully!) on Dec 23-just in time for Christmas!

Thanks!
I'm feeling horrible today. Had some sinus draining last night and all my tummy wants to do is be mean to me. Luckily a coworker brought in some caffiene free coke and another gave me some crackers--sometimes its great to work with a big bunch of women!

I started crying at the news yesterday--and I was laughing bc I was crying--it was hilarious to DH.

Thank you so much!! You rock!

How is your blood pressure? That can cause headaches as well. I was getting bad ones for a while, but they pretty much gone away now. Im guessing hormones too.

My blood pressure is low but nothing to worry about. Must just be hormones. Luckily I've felt better during the last few days. When I first got pregnant I got headaches because I cut out caffeine completely. I reintroduced it a bit and solved that problem. This is something different now.

As far as being hormonal, I don't really find I'm any more irritable than usual. I don't have strong PMS symptoms regularly, though.

Laura---Thanks again for those links WebMD has way better stuff than Baby Center...

Anyone have any favorite baby info sites?

Did anyone else go to the doctor today? Scary!! Note to self, do not schedule a follow up the day after Thanksgiving ever again! My midwife was funny- she said "don't worry, I don't look at the scale today!"
I think it is their scale- otherwise I gained 2 pounds since Wednesday! and... I really didn't eat very much yesterday!

Hope everyone had a Happy Turkey Day.

Okay. I've been poking around and reading things and did anyone here have a HB around 10 wks close to 180??

At 10wks3days I was 182 and it SO seems like that is the highest of everybody (I joined a Due Date Club over on mothering.com, too and no one has posted a HB that high!!)

Mine never had a heartrate that high. Remember that the averages are just that----an average. No two babies will be the same and as long as your doctor isn't concerned, you shouldn't be either.:goodvibes Maybe the old wives tale will be true in your case and you will have a girl!;)

Anybody else crazy enough to venture out yesterday? I got a little scared at Walmart :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Those people are ruthless! I am officially all done with my Christmas shopping except for DH. :woohoo:

Morning everyone. Hope you all had a great holiday and shopping day--if you went. I stayed home.

I'm having tummy issues in the evenings. I haven't been able to keep anything down after about 6pm--including Thanksgiving dinner. It's getting really annoying.

I couldn't keep down my Thanksgiving meal either, which worried my family to death. I enjoyed visiting, but obviously didn't feel well. I had a great morning. I took both kids to Bass Pro, got pics with Santa (probably the last year ds11 will allow that!), bought a ton of stuff for dh for Christmas, our anniversary (Dec. 22 will be 13 yrs), and his birthday (Dec. 6). Then I took them to see Bolt-it is a great movie. We ate around 3:30 at my parents because of the work schedules of my sister and nephew, and then I got so sick.

I did online shopping early yesterday, then dd9 and I went shoping after lunch. It wasn't as crazy then, and we got some good deals. I'm almost through, too. I still have to get something for fil, and dh has decided he needs one too. I know what they want, but Bass Pro was out of it on Thanksgiving day. Everything else is wrapped and under the tree! Except for Santa's secret stash of course.;)

At 9 wks this baby's was 178. My dr. said it was perfect.:confused3

I was annoyed, cuz I didn't feel good so I was a little crabby and there were tons of people (I have some social anxiety for too many people in samll spaces).

The worst was when my dad spilled the beans before DH and I could tell everyone. I was really mad! It sucked. It wasn't his fault, but I told my mom not to say anything, and my grandma walked in and said something like "How ya feeling mom?" and I snapped at her to shut up. Luckily no one heard that, but then my dad told DH's grandma. She brought me a flower and whispered that my dad let the cat out of the bag and I was so mad that I didn't even get to enjoy her happiness. The whole night was shot after that.

I guess that's what happens when you don't tell everyone all at once. I'm getting all mad thinking about it again.

I mean I told my grandma to shut up?! Not good. I'm embarassed thinking about how I was acting.

Hmm. Okay.

Another question-- when did you guys start showing??

I was staring down at my tummy at work today and my Assistant Manager said "Yeah, right. You won't show until 6 months."

...I told her there is NO way that is true but she actually laughed at me and said I was kidding myself if I thought I'd show before that.

...there is no way I am going another three months without people knowing there is someone in there!!
I wanted to smack her but I think that was the horomones! ;)

I won't start showing for awhile since I'm fluffy already. I do already want to buy a pair of maternity pants or a bella band, cuz my jeans are just not comfy around the waist right now.

I did a google search about that and came up with nearly every single week imaginable. It's different for each person.
