Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

Okay, at first it wouldn't work but I opened it in Internet Explorer and got it to print!

AND I think I've got a better idea of how this works.
Print 2 $3/off 3 products coupons and 6 Target .75 coupons with it.

Then print the $1 off coupons and print a Target coupon for each of them, too.

So essentially, I should print 2 of everything I'd like and have my friend and I each go through with:
$3 off 3 products w/ 3 Target .75c coupons. (It says limit 1 per transaction, though :confused3)
And then 1 each of the $1 off coupons w/ a Target coupon.

So Targets are letting people use multiple Target coupons within the same transaction, even though the coupon states otherwise?
Am I going to have to go through the checkout like 15 times, 1 time for each coupon?

Targets will let you do multiple coupons in one transaction (not to exceed $50 in coupons I think). So dont worry about it. Yesterday, as a matter of fact, I went to a Super Target (which i'll never go back to again, its not my usual friendly Target) and ofcourse the lady says "one coupon per transaction"... so, my smart :eeyore: hormonal self said "we can do 50 transactions if you'd like"... and ofcourse- she rang up all of my coupons with no issues. You can break them down in as many transactions as you want and it all comes out the same-- same taxes, same everything. And some just like to be testy! Here's the best advice i can give to a couponer (and any hardcore couponer will tell you this too)... always scope out the registers and find the youngest, most dense looking person you can find. Thats not being judgemental.. its just saying that typically... these people just don't care and don't take their job (and life in general) too seriously. They just roll with the punches and get their paycheck. Sometimes, you'll find some older people who feel as though they are the coupon police. Never feel bad about a coupon- the manufacturer reimburses the company for the money PLUS some (sometimes its .08 cents, sometimes its more... on EACh coupon- so they are making money by taking your coupons). So no, do one transaction... and if someone says something. Tell them to feel free to break it up into several transactions (They wont)... but it gives them the opportunity to eat their own shoe for a minute. And you would never need to get back in line-- lol you can do as many transactions as you want with people waiting behind- but no need to worry about that;)

You certainly have the right idea about how to print them. You and a friend go... break it up into who wants what, and use your coupons. Definitely print two of everything... if you decide you dont want or need that coupon- just throw it away (or leave it by a product for another shopper who will be ever so greatful of your good dead). Unfortunately two is the limit per IP address, which really stinks. But i guess it keeps someone like me from printing them all up and no one else getting the deals- haha!

No worries ladies-those tummies will 'pop' eventually. I'm actually pleased to look less pregnant at 24 weeks this time than I did with my last pregnancy. Granted, I started this one 35 lbs. lighter and I'm on my feet both at work and at home constantly. (Except for right now. I luv to DIS!) Still, it's been nice to hear "when are you due" lately.
I hope i feel like you do Melessa! YAY for 35lbs lighter!

Ohhh.. Free Sample Offer.

Maggie's Couponing reminded me to sign up on all the diaper webpages and I got this link:

http://www.huggiespureandnatural.com/FreeSample.aspx

Thank you!! I signed myself right up!!:thumbsup2

Phew, I get it! I printed 1 Target coupon and 2 manu coupons for everything I think I'll use for baby (Only printed 1 Oil coupon cause I just don't know about the baby oil usage :confused3) and only printed 1 coupon for the gift sets.. as I'm not sure about them either.
(I totally have that attitude, too... when I'm up to something someone MIGHT have a problem with, I look for someone oblivious!)

I'll make my plan of attack on the trip up and brief my friend. :rotfl:
She won't need any.. she wants a baby badly but a man comes first.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I really want to get into couponing hardcore! :thumbsup2

I'm off to my parents for my birthday dinner and ICE CREAM CAKE :woohoo:

Have a great evening ladies!

Have a good time!

Speaking of baby oil... im not sure about baby powder. Do babies really need baby powder? Has that kind of faded or drifted in a way... or does most everyone still use it? Im trying to decide whether to keep the powder i got, or gift it. My mom says "you shouldn't really use it" and "cornstarch is best if you do"... but... seems like growing up everyone had powder laying around their house.

What does everyone think?

Ohhh.. that stuff is SOOO Cute!
I would be totally tempted by the little plane, too.
DH keeps getting on to me 'cause I was looking at play places online the other day.

I'm on vacation though and it's so easy to be lazy and google... :rolleyes1

Oh Darn it, I was 'forced' to buy that plane...and a table and chairs, and a wall hanger... and lots of other CUTE things. I hope he really is a boy!!!!

He's not even here and he's is so spoiled. I had to stop myself from buying this $200.00 compass clock from Pottery barn kids.... I am so tempted. I can't wait to start on his room! I don't want to over buy though so I have to see how things fit in there first... and then I can add more accessories!

I have totally made up for buying 'cheap' furniture, lol! :scared1:

I would keep some around, I don't know if I will use it on his bottom but one thing powder is AMAZING for is to get sand off little kids. You know when they go to the park and their little shoes and feet (and everything else gets covered with sand) ? Well you just rub a little baby powder on them and it comes right off.

Skylarr that is so cute!! LOL have you spent more now than you spent on the wedding? LOL. Dont you just hate how you are forced into buying things-- happens to me all the time!! I try to resist, I really do, but we all know that the force is stronger than we are! LOL. I LOVE the table- so so cute!! Remember to tell everyone you are doing the airplane theme- you may get some stuff at your shower!

wow, I had no idea! Ill remember that. I used it in HS a time or two on my hair- lol. Ill have to jot that down and remember it! TY!

Melissa, I love the airplane theme and everything you picked out is so cute. You have great taste!!!

I just wanted to mentioned to those of you talking coupons...it isn't a bad idea to register with Similac & Enfamil sites either. They send a good number of $5 coupons out once the baby is due.

Yeah, I'm going to sign up with all the major diaper & formula companies, as they send out mega coupons & samples. I'm hoping not to need the formula, but with two, I just might. Last time I gave away a ton of coupons & the formula samples to mothers who were very grateful to get them. :goodvibes

Other good places to donate unused formula samples, food pantries & women's shelters.

So for baby sites to sign up there are Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, Enfamil, Similac, & Good Start. I should see if Gerber & Beech Nut have sites to sign up too. Anybody think of any others?

I have a personal blog and I try not to plug it in public forums like this one (not because I don't want people to read it, but because I'm not much of a self-promoter). Anyway, I'm a little frustrated with my older son's teacher and I wrote about it this afternoon. I like the way it came together and thought I would share it here. No one is obligated to read it, I just felt like linking today.

By way of explanation, my son is not AD/HD, has no form of autism, or anything else you can use a diagnosis to excuse/explain. He's just way too smart and stubborn for his own good and marches to the beat of his own drum.

Ill check it out! I havent read it yet but your describing how my BIL was when him and my sister were growing up together to a T.

Maggie, like someone else said...don't worry your belly is going to pop soon enough! I feel like mine explode while we were on vacation, to be expected at 29 weeks I guess!:lmao:

Thanks Maggie! He reminds me of a lot of the boys I went to school with too. (And knowing how most of them turned out, that's both inspiring and scary! ;))

My BIL is a super smart individual... and very kind hearted too. I think he was too smart to be placed where he was. In school, he didnt really excel (because he was bored with the work and activity). When you wrote that-- it really hit a nerve with me and reminded me of what my BIL went through when my sister was in school.

Today i started having some higher torso aches, kind of like id been exercising a lot and was sore from it. I think either the baby is shifting north or maybe im growing outward higher or something. So maybe thats a sign. I may resent all of this "is anyone else not showing" "i feel cheated" business.lol!

I figured I'd check in with my every so often updates...

We've decided on naming our daughter Isabelle. :cutie: We're still hunting for middle names though. We were so sure that we were going to have a boy we didn't really focus on girl names. I guess that's our luck.

Seeing everyone's pictures and updates is getting me so excited. DH and I have been working in Isabelle's room a lot lately, and are making small strides.
We owe so much to my parents for helping us out with preparing the nursery. My stepdad has been busy building her a closet system and finishing her dresser. My mom hand made all of her bedding because I'm picky and couldn't find anything suitable in stores. Here are some pictures of these accomplishments...

Sorry for so many pictures, but I'm very excited.

Maggimus, don't worry about popping. I'm just now at 24 weeks, and I've just now really popped. Yours will come!

So cute...I was telling my cousin today that pink and chocolate brown are very in for little girl room's. I love the monkey theme.

I love the name Isabelle...I think Belle is such a cute nickname.

Thanks for sharing your pics.

My ticker is pretty accurate right now, I work at a school and still haven't told my students about me being pregnant and I just had a student come up and touch my belly and say "Do you have a baby in there?" I guess I should probably tell them soon!:rotfl:

I already miss my ticker...lol, had to make a new one.
I had to go into the store today, and a lady I hadnt' seen since my son was just born last year was there and said "You aren't having another are you?".. Ugh. LOL..I told her my baby was only 4 days old, gimme a few weeks to lose the pooch!!! I'm actually happy with the way my belly has gone down, but I'm anxious to get into my jeans again!!

Hey Girls!
I have a question. Has anyone tried those pregnancy belts?
I'm really miserable lately with this giant belly and I don't know if I should invest in those belts considering I only (or still... depending how you look at it... :lmao:) have 4.5 weeks left.
I didn't get one the last few weeks (when I really could have used it) but I bet it'd make you less miserable.... I know I wish I would have. Hopefully you can find one cheaper on consignment or something.

Don't feel bad. I think it's pretty common for first time moms to not show that much early on. When I had my son, I felt like I had only just started showing & then BOOM he was born. (Granted he was so early, I *should* have had another 3 months to actually look pg!) Talk about feeling cheated. This time around I feel like I look as big now at 18 weeks as I did at 26 weeks with him, but that's only because I have 2 in there!

You'll get there, don't worry. One AM you'll wake up you will have popped big time, like magic.:wizard:
Yeah, with my first daughter, I didn't show til right at 7 months, and then it was so little still. I finally popped those last 4 weeks.

Oh Darn it, I was 'forced' to buy that plane...and a table and chairs, and a wall hanger... and lots of other CUTE things. I hope he really is a boy!!!!

jaleaton that baby stuff is amazingly adorable. We have such similar tastes! I love the name isabelle. Its beautiful. Cant wait to see the nursery all together!

I am so happy to finally have a theme. I am only 18 weeks but we have known for almost 2 weeks that he was a boy and I am a planner. It was overwhelming to think of all the things I had left to do, at least now I feel like I am making progress. My mom was complaining today that I bought all the furniture and sheets and things because what will people buy me at the shower but I told her we are having a small shower anyways so I know I wouldn't have gotten the big ticket items.

Oh... and I haven't spent anywhere near the wedding. Now that would be some nursery.

wow, I had no idea! Ill remember that. I used it in HS a time or two on my hair- lol. Ill have to jot that down and remember it! TY!

You're welcome!

Melissa, I love the airplane theme and everything you picked out is so cute. You have great taste!!!

Thank you, the only problem with great taste is it's expensive LOL!

Awww, I hate it when people say things like "when are you due?" and you just had the baby! I would just smile and never ask someone that. Don't worry, it will come off.
