"Newest" Moms Hangout... take 2!

Brynn is ten months old today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. She is crawling, talking, pulling up and standing like a crazy little lady. We've decided that we'll be surprised if she isn't walking in the next month.

We're getting ready for our big trip that is a little over a month away! We're soooooo excited! Any of you that have taken little ones have any tips for me? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have always put Natalie in footed pj's to sleep in. With the A/C running, I didn't want her to get chilly at night since she didn't sleep with a blanket.

All of my kids have always slept in pjs year round. Usually with feet when they were little, if not with socks. We keep the house at 71 at night so the ac is generally always running (we live in AZ), so it gets chilly. Scarlett also sleeps in a blanket sleeper (with legs) since she doesn't have a blanket. We'll move her to a toddler bed this summer (we need it in June for my niece) so she'll graduate to a blanket then.

Katie sleeps in just a pullup most of the time. If she wears pjs, it is the kind that are shorts/short sleeved top. She sweats otherwise. Of course, she sleeps with me, so that probably makes a difference:)

I just had to share that Alex laughed today for the first times! Up until now it's just been coo's but today he actually let out a little giggle when I was playing with him! It's tough work getting that first laugh out of a baby but it was oh so worth it and oh so rewarding! I teared up when I heard it. Melts my heart!

Also, he's starting to find his feet and it's so cute (with my help for now)!

Hey guys! Lilliana will be 2 at the end of May, just seems like yesterday that I joined the mom to be thread. It's crazy how fast time goes at this age. I am taking her on the 2nd trip to Disney the 3rd week of May, right before he birthday. I wanted the free airline ticket since she is a lap child but it might make for a really long flight.

We finally hit warmer temperatures this weekend at a high of 60. :rotfl: I still have a ton of snow in the back yard and the kids are going crazy being stuck inside. It's been a very long winter. Glad everyone is doing well.

Last summer Elliott just slept in a onesie. Might this summer as well, not too sure yet.

Wow, felt like summer here yesterday. Got up to almost 80!! Really crazy that considering that on March 23 we got 18 inches of snow!! And now there are flurries in the forcast for the weekend. Well, that is Wisconsin weather for you!

Elliott has been silly and sassy lately. He likes to get into the dirt in one of our plants, and turn the TV off. And he "talks" allllll the time!

So I dropped Elliott off at the sitter's house yesterday morning, and she made a comment about how cute his outfit was....not more than an hour later, she emailed me 21 pictures, and another 15 pictures later in the day! I love having a sitter who does photography in her spare time. This is my favorite...

That is just so cute. Love it. I need to find a friend that loves photography like that.

I just had to share with you guys cause I know you will understand. Tomorrow morning will be 180 days till our trip! I've got my list of restaurants and I'm ready to book them. I'm also thinking about maybe doing a pre-trip report. I did one last time, but never did my report. Probably something about my house flooded while we were gone and we got to stay in a hotel for another month while they fixed the house. Oh well, knock on wood nothing like that happens this time.

Wow, that had to stink! Here's hoping you have an uneventful pre and post trip! We leave for our first trip with my daughter in less than a month.... I'm VERY excited!

Ugh! For real, it is the end of April. Why on earth are we getting a snow storm this week??? Here I was thinking that since Easter is so late, shorts would be fine for the boys! I have seen reports this week of anywhere from 3 - 10 inches of snow. YUCK!

I finally broke down and decided we needed a really nice stroller. The cheep umbrella was a pain in many ways. It sometimes wouldn't lock open, hard to steer, etc. Anyway I've been keeping an eye on ebay and found a BJ city mini for an okay price. I won the auction. Yay! Can't wait for it to arrive and test it out. I got the one in green/gray. :cool1::banana:

Hooray for a better/nicer stroller! :goodvibes

I have no doubt that you'll love your Baby Jogger!

Well, the snow came. For about the 3rd time in the last month and a half, we had thundersnow! Crazy to see lightning and hear thunder during a snow storm. We got about 10 inches of snow (and almost 93 inches for the season!). Fortunately, the extended forcast shows highs in the 70s by next Tuesday. Crazy Wisconsin weather! Older DS was supposed to have soccer practice tonight, which was cancelled, since I don't think snow pants and boots would work that well. He is supposed to have his first league game next Thursday, but the city where we are playing said they don't think their fields will be ready!

Happy early Easter everyone!!! This will be Natalie's first year actually hunting for Easter eggs. Last year she was only 9 months old so she didn't quite get it. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend:banana:

Happy Easter! I cannot wait to see pictures of everyone's LO's. Last year Isabel was 5 months old - we've done two hunts already this year - and she loves picking up the eggs - though doesn't really want to put them in the basket :rotfl:

Yikes - I heard about that Thunder Snow - never experienced it though. Hope you get that spring weather soon! I cannot imagine it still being cold!
