Newbie with Lots of WL Questions

I'm in the early stages of planning a trip to WDW and feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm trying to take the family on a special vacation before the kids graduate high school.

There will probably be 7-8 of us and we'd love to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We've thought about 2 connecting rooms but are also wondering about the 2 bedroom Villas.

Where do I begin to look for discounts? Are there ever discounts for the Villas? What number do we call for reservations? I remember from last time that it's best to not call CRO.

I can't pull the kids out of school . . . are discounts offered for late May/early June?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!!

You will love the wl! You can find good codes on www.mousesavers.com, just keep checking back till they become available for when you are going. You may want to book your rooms now to lock them in and then revise your ressie after the codes come out. also, I always book through cro because their cancellation policy is 5 days instead of 45 days. there is a faq thread for the wl that should give you all the info you need! Have fun planning!

I was going to suggest renting points from a DVC member, too. You might check on the DVC Rent/Trade board here.
