First, what is the best place in Disney to get things for my camper? Second, is Christmas time really crowded in Disney?

Welcome to the DIS! I would say check out the mercantiles over at Ft. Wilderness for items for the camper, and yes, Christmas is extremely busy! You should definately go into it with some kind of a plan to make it more manageable, but the parks and resorts are gorgeous this time of year.

The picture in your signature, is this at CRT? Was it your daughter's birthday? We are going in June and my daughter is turning 6 while we are there!! We have an early breakfast sched at CRT that morning!! If this was her birthday, did you have to order her cake seperate? What else did you do to make it really special?

Hi Lesley! Yes, it was her birthday, her sixth actually! This was at 1900 Park Faire at the GF. I ordered her cake from the GF bakery, it was gorgeous and tasted wonderful, but it was so much we shared with folks at surrounding tables, lol. You can call to order your daughter a cake, the number for the MK bakery is 407-824-7091. I think the one in the photo was about $65, but it was a 10" cake with white chocolate mousse filing and white and dark swirled chocolate frosting with a chocolate Cinderella on top. Don't forget to stop by guest relations and pick up a free "It's my birthday" button, she'll get lots of attention from cm's as well as other guests. You can also get a cm to call Goofy for you, he'll sing her happy birthday. My dd has been several times for her birthday (so much so that now she doesn't want to go anymore, she wants a party at home), and the most memorable experience we've had was walking into MK at opening the day of her birthday. The Mayor of Main St., USA was there, saw her birthday button and birthday hat, and yelled (Hear ye, hear ye, I hereby declare that today in the MK is to be known as Kirstin's birthday!" He started singing happy birthday to her, and everyone passing by on Main St. joined in! Needless to say I was in tears by the time the Dapper Dans showed up and sang to her as well. The look on her face was priceless. I hope your dd makes a wonderful birthday memory as well, it's amazing what Disney can do!
