Forgive me if this has been covered but I have a hv a few questions while researching whether to purchase DVC. What is the difference between blue card and white card benefits? I understand that as of June 3, 2021 you must buy min 150 points direct from DVC in order to get pretty much any benefits out of DVC membership. Just curious, for those of you who purchased from a reseller prior to 6/3/21 do you lose your blue card benefits (for restaurants, shops, tours, etc) now or are you grandfathered in, and only those who purchase AFTER 6/3/21 lose (or do not receive) blue card benefits? Thank you!

Blue cards entitle you to membership perks and extras such as dining and merchandise/event discounts, discounted APs…when they become available again,,.special events like Moonlight Magic…and use of the Epcot lounge.

Resale buyers lost all of this in 2016. However, the number of direct points needed to become a blue card holder has slowly increased in that time.

At first, adding on just 25 direct got you those benefits. In 2018, it went to 75. In 2019, it went to 100, 2020 to 125, and now it is 150.

White card get very little in the way of benefits. Those with a white card can pool hop (if it returns), access the TOTWL at BLT (if it reopens) and check out DVDs at the resort store. There are no discounts (food, merchandise, tickets, etc.) if you have a white card.

Grandfathered in.
