newbie question about podcast

Hi guys! I am not new to the boards...but just discovered the podcasts.

Last week would have been my first "I can't wait till Wednesday!" moment...but it was not to be.

My question is: When do the podcasts become available? Like what time! Especially on iTunes...as that is how I am getting them.

We can't listen live, right?

And what about Thursdays?

They are available when they are put up! Usually they are up first thing in the morning, but if they are still editing or fiddling with a show, they come up later in the afternoon. If they are going to be significantly delayed, somebody usually posts to let us know so we don't completely go bonkers.

It seems like it takes longer for it to hit on iTunes. I always use the Listen Now button. You can't listen live for most shows. They are recorded and edited, although there was a live show at the Gaylord Palms for Christmas.

The regular Podcast is usually up on Wednesday morning

The e-mail/voice mail show is usually up on Thursday morning

I usually download it from i-tunes in the afternoon.

Last week there wasn't a podcast nor a e-mail show due to Kevin's eye surgery

I thought I was going mad, I've been trying to find it on iTunes and here and I could only find the show from 22/01/09.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a new one tomorrow?

What everyone else has said. Sometimes you can find them on iTunes pretty early (I will sometimes download them at 6am before I leave the house) but usually iTunes is behind the website.

Maroo, I have to give you a HUGE shout out for an amazing TR with the "WISH" trip you recently took. I went through the gamut of emotions while reading it. Lauren, her family and you are all amazing people. Thank you for sharing your trip with us and the information and pictures you provided on GKTW was amazing. I got very teary eyed looking at the ceiling of stars, seems like a magical place.

More echoing, except to say sometimes it's EVEN earlier than that - I've downloaded the odd one at 8am UK time (3am Eastern) in the past

We simply did our best to put into words...to tell the story, I guess...about our magical trip! It was certainly full of ups and downs!

It has rekindled a love for Disney that I have not known for a long time.


Give Kids the World is such a wonderful place. I thought it was going to be great...after seeing the pictures and reading the other Wish Trip Reports. But nothing that I write can truly explain how much GKTW blessed us. The volunteers, the staff, the activities...even the music...was just so wonderful. Just walking around with Lauren...feeling "normal"...it was more than I can explain.

Then the free tickets from Disney, Sea World and Universal. The wonderful CM's and all of the magic they create for these kids. It was just amazing.

I am trying to get us back to Disney. No trip planned yet for the kids, but the adults are going back to do a race in October...and hopefully to walk/jog the half marathon in Jan 2010. No pressure, Dave, but HOPEFULLY to race for GKTW!!! Nothing would make me happier!

Yes we usually do both shows the same day. We have fun while working so the time goes quickly.
