Newbie planning question

Hi- I am almost an owner- passes rofr yesterday. The contract I purchased is for 50 BWV APr use year- currently it came with 50 points from 2008 as well. Now, I am thinking about a summer trip that I want to do- I know there may be slim pickings but we are flexible plus I already booked what I really want to do with the Ap discount today that I could cancel up to 5 days out anyway... So, I do have 100 points right now to spend- can I borrow 2010 to make that 150?

If I do that and want to plan a vacation in Dec 2010, could I then borrow in 2010- 2011's points?????

or should I not borrow the 2010 ( if I can even do this) and just get someone to transfer me some points to make up difference for this summer's trip if needed.. Also, I am considering buying another small add-on at some point so I could have those for 2010 trip as well....

Debbie, first of all, congratulations!!! You can absolutely borrow to get yourself where you need to be for your summer vacation. As to whether or not you should borrow, our Guide told us that if we found ourselves borrowing every year (or renting), it was probably time to buy more points. It sounds like you already foresee the need for a second contract in the near future, so that would alleviate any shortfall that you would have.

As to how to add a banner to your signature, just right click on the picture properties in someone else's signature that you like, copy the link, and go into your signature options and paste the link there. It should pop up with no problem.

Welcome home!!! and Welcome to your first case of "addonitis"! I would go ahead and borrow the 2010 points too, and if you plan to add on to your resort (either through Didsney or resale) you can cross that point bridge when you come to it. You might as well use what is available to you now though in the meantime.

I would definitely borrow the points if you know for sure you are going to go this summer since once you borrow 2010 points into your 2009 UY, they will have to be used my March 31st, 2010.

Then, next year when you plan your December 2010 trip, you can borrow 2011 or get a transfer then from a member--no sense to pay for points now that you can always pay for later!!!
