First let me say I am so confused when it comes to buying tickets! Not what they include, I get those differences (park hopper, no expiration, etc.) but from WHERE to buy them :confused3

I thought I had found a real deal this morning at The Official Ticket Center (BTW, anyone purchase from them before?) compared to Dreams Unlimited (savings of almost $200 for my family) but then I went to the Disney site to see how much of a savings it would be from them (just curious) and their price was only more by $8.00. ????

The sale at TOTC was New SPECIAL! Buy the 4 Day Base Ticket with 14 Day Expiration, you receive the 5th day free. Applies to both Adult and Child tickets. And it was $752.00 for my family of 5 but at Disney it is only $768.94 for a 5 day pass. (family of 5 includes one under 3 child)

So why would DU be so much more expensive than Disney itself?? I am so confused!!!

HI. First of all the buy "4 days and get the 5th free" isn't going to be much of a deal because Disney structures them so that it is just a few dollars more for your family to stay for an additional day. They know that if you have five days then you will stay at their hotels and eat in their restraunts longer.

I am trying to figure out where you got a price higher from DU? I price a four day pass for 2adults 2 children at $756.16 on DU. If you make it a five day pass it comes to 768.94. Which I believe is the same as Disney.

So I guess if you are getting five days from TOTC at 752.00 you are saving $16.94.

The only thing I can guess is that you had "yes" in the hopper option which makes it 992.00 for your family of four.

Happy planning.

Well I don't know for sure about the DU site.

I printed out the page to show my Dh the differences (before I became so confused) and it says under ticket type 5 day no expir 2 adult @ $254.54 each and 2 children @ $215.13 each for a total of $939.34 and with the standard shipping came to $942.34.

????? So I don't know. It doesn't list the hopper option under ticket type it was pricing me.

Your point about the more days the cheaper makes sense and especially if there was a problem with the DU site when it calculated my price.

I just did it again on their site and got the same price as above. ???? Guess the thing I know is that I won't be buying tickets from them. :)

I have not tried DU for tickets, but one thing is that the Disney site does not show the cost of tax until you are actually purchasing the tickets. Is it possible that the DU site already has added in the tax?
You can also try ticketmania or undercovertourist for tickets. They both seem to have good deals. I have bought my tickets at ticketmania for my last two trips and have saved quite a bit. Depending upon when you are going, you can sign up for a newsletter at mousesavers.com. The newsletter comes out on the 15th and usually will have a link to these two sellers and you can save even more.

The big price difference is in the 'no expiration' add-on. That adds a significant amount to the cost--if you are going to add that option, it's more economical to purchase 10 day MYW tickets, and use the remaining days on future trips. The other tickets you were pricing from other sources were 5 day base tickets with no options, correct?

Do you want NON Expiring, meaning they are good forever if you choose not to use all five days? That is what is in the DU price you listed above. I don't think Disney would be 768.94 with NON Expiring! They must have given you a quote with NON Expiring which would definitely make your price go up $200! Hope that clarifies that! They are a good site and reliable, but maybe they made a mistake when giving you a quote. :goodvibes
