Hi All,

My husband just found out he needs to travel to Brussels for business in April. I am going to tag along and make a holiday out of it. We want to go to Paris, DLP and then end in Brussels from April 6 to April 13. I have a few questions to help get me started. I am a WDW and DCL expert having worked for the company from 1999-2013, but have only been to Paris once when I was 18 and never been to DLP.

1. I'm thinking it will be better to choose one hotel as home base for the Paris and DLP portion of our trip so as to limit trudging around with luggage on trains and from hotel to hotel. Is this sound logic? If yes, is it best to choose a hotel in Paris or in DLP in terms of ease of transit and maximizing time? We will have about 3 days for Paris and DLP.

2. Can you book a room at DLP without tickets? We may have tickets gifted to us from a Cast Member, but I can't seem to bring up any rates that exclude tickets.

3. Is there some sort of train package we could get to cover our entire holiday or will I need to do everything individually?

Thanks a bunch!

1. I think it'll depend on where are you going to spend more time. For example, if you want to visit Paris, and to go just one day to Disney, I'd choose a hotel in Paris.

2. Yes, you can, but you can't do it online. You need to call them to make the reservation.
Take into acount that to pick your CM's tickets up you may need to wait long... I don't know if it's something common, but the last time I went there with my CM friend's tickets, we had to queued for 45 minutes to change our tickets.

3. There are several options: tickets for one trip, round trip, one day, a week, several days, some include the airports and some not... So, the best option for you will depend on your plans. I can't add links yet, but you can take a look at the options on the RATP website. When you enter the site, don't choose "English", because several interesting option will disappear, and they'll just show you the "Paris Visite" option.

I was going to only do one hotel when initially planning our time in Paris and found a Holiday Inn Express between the two, which I still think would work, however, I am so glad we split our time. We had longer than you (five nights in Paris and two in DLRP), but I'm still glad we didn't waste park time using public transport to get there. I, personally, think it would be more of a hassle to take the train every day out there (it's not close) than moving once with your luggage and make it a clear Paris portion and Disney portion. That's my 2 cents! :goodvibes

Also, I think you should just buy your tickets individually. You are not doing that much train travel.

Hello!

Have fun planning your trip!

I don't know if I have the best information but here goes -

Annual Passholders and cast members are able to book room only reservations by calling so I would call to ask about room only rates. When I called to get cast member rates, I used a Skype to phone connection and it worked great - really cut down on the cost of an international call.

I usually book train travel separately but I don't use the train that much. I would look at the advantages of a rail pass depending on how much you plan to travel. Generally speaking I think you have to be travelling a lot to make them cost effective. A good website for train travel in paris is parisbytrain.com - very helpful!

As others have mentioned, DLRP is a bit far out - you may or may not want to travel back and forth. I have done both I guess - and prefer to stay onsite at Disney for my Disney time for sure. The location of DLRP is very relaxing IMO - countryside setting.

Well, Have a great time planning - and a super trip!
