Newbie for Disney Dining Plan questions

We have 2 adult and one kid (age 10). I understand my DS (10) won't have to order from kid's menu anymore. So is his table service credit same as adult table service credit? I was thinking of only using 2 adult table service (2 credit each) to split mean between 3 of us at the signature restaurant (not buffet). Can I do that? Then I can save DS' table service credit for other meals to split meal again.

Yes, he has regular adult TS credits, so you will have 3 per day that look the same. Yes you can split meals anywhere you want to that is not an AYCTE situation except for Via Napoli, which seems to be a stickler about everyone on the DDP ordering a full meal at the table. I have never heard of anywhere else giving anyone a hard time.
