Hi!
This coming Thanksgiving, my family of 4 (2 adults and 10 & 3 yo girls) will be staying (6 nights) at the Riviera. We have never stayed at DVC before because we are new to DVC and with Covid, so we just never used it. It has been about 4 to 5 years since we have been to WDW.
We have a 2 bedroom with preferred view (my in-laws just decided not to come). I noticed in another post that you can requests location of rooms. How do I do that? Is that an online request or a phone call?
Since I have never stayed at a DVC before, I don't really know what to expect in terms of house keeping. Is it more like an Airbnb where I throw the trash away and clean the dishes as I use them? And I can just go to a grocery store and get snacks and drinks and put them in the fridge? I have read about coffee pots or Keurig. Does anyone know what is at the Riviera? If it is Keurig, do I provide my own pods? In terms of towels, I figure we just reuse them during our stay. What if I need more towels? Can I request more towels? Are there towels to be used at the pool area or do we bring towels from the room?
We have park reservations for 3 days of the 5 days that we will be there. Hollywood Studio is optional. My 3 y.o. is way too active and won't sit still for meals so we won't do any type of table service with wait stall. I think we will focus more on buffets; then my 3 y.o. running around will blend in more when I go after her. Are there other buffets or suggestions you would recommend?
Sorry for all the questions as I really don't know what to expect. Thank you for any help you can provide.
