Hi

I have an overnight stay in Newark, early flight next morning to Orlando, and was wondering if anyone has any information, recommendations - good or bad on any of the airport hotels, the Holiday Inn at the airport is the one I'm looking at but not sure.

Thanks

No advice for you. Just thought I would bump this back to the top of the list so that someone can offer advice.

We use Newark airport all the time, but I've never personally stayed at one of the hotels. My sister stayed one night at the Radisson and she said it was very nice. The Holiday Inn, doesn't look all that nice from the outside, so I'd stay away from it. There is a Courtyard by Marriott that also looks nice from the outside.

Lori

Thanks for that.

I'll check out the Radisson for prices etc.

If you can I would go with the Marriott. I like staying in the Courtyards and I'm sure this one is nice.

Hi

Just had a look at the Mariott - so many choices of hotels from my various postings.

Thanks for the replies.

<font face="times" size="+0">hi, i just wanted to recommend that you use Priceline or Hotwire to book your hotel room near Newark Airport.

personally, i have seen the location of Courtyard by Marriott (the Newark Elizabeth one), Country Inn & Suites, and Residence Inn, which are all right next to the large Jersey Gardens Mall. these seem to be fairly new hotels, and the location is good if you want shopping or dining the evening before your flight. (assuming the mall is still open)

the other 3* or 4* hotels that have shown up on Priceline or Hotwire all seem to be pretty nice. check out the reviews + info at either http://www.betterbidding.com or http://www.biddingfortravel.com.

Hi Disneyberry

I've just booked the Marriott on airport, using Priceline - very happy with the price. Can't wait till October now!

Thanks to everyone who replied - I posted this ? twice and received good information. Thanks again.

DH and DS stayed at the Country Inn and Suites Newark airport and said it was a really nice, clean place to stay.
