New York State Fair time again!

My family and I will again be manning our booth for 12-12 hour days starting on August 21st to Labor Day! Can't wait to have some of our all time favorite eats, see our favorite animals and look for hidden treasures.

Is it wrong that I live in New York and didn't even know that we HAD a state fair? lol.

Don't feel bad Evil Princess. I'm from Long Island and never heard of the fair either until last year. I go to school upstate and my roomate (who's from up north) was in shock that I had never even heard of it so she took me and I had the best time!!! I'm going again this year and can't wait to go! I want to see those colored chickens and see what the butter sculpture is this time (my highlights).

Nothing's changed in the last 20 years! My college roommate and some other floor mates were from Long Island, too. And, they had never heard of the NYS Fair either.

You know, there is a New York past the City!!

BTW, I believe Amtrak runs a special to the Fair and back from Grand Central Station. Stops right on the fairgrounds to drop you off and picks you for the ride home.

hey! we will try to remember to look for you...we will be there on the 29th ...my 2 DD's won a local fair beauty pagent and will be riding in the evening parade...

we love the fair!!!!! we always end the summer with a visit...tradition is to ride the huge ferris wheel before we go home as our good-bye to the summer!!
