Just a wee heads up about an upcoming trippie... we've been a bit quiet lately (damned recession!) and this is a pruned-down version of the original, full-fat, New York and Florida trip we had intended. Anyhoo, we head out to New York on 31st May for 5 nights, staying in The Belvedere Hotel in Midtown (great reviews and an even better price!) and are fine-tuning a 'to-do' list including MoMA, Guggenheim, Top of The Rock, Chelsea Highline, Brooklyn, Riverside and Central Parks, 9/11 Memorial (pre-booked) Oyster Bar under GCS, and the birthday meal at The River Cafe under Brooklyn Bridge.

Sounds like a wonderful trip nonetheless Mike. Look forward to hearing about it :)

You are going to love New York. Spent a week there for the first time over spring break and the hardest thing was deciding what we did not have time to see. Make sure you look at the websites for the major museums. We spent 8 hours at the MET and ended up rushing through a special exhibit at the end that we did not know was there until we just came accross it. Would have liked to have more time there.
