Thank you for the welcome MRaven. The New Year's Eve cruise is indeed a great tradition. We have a BLAST . . I drink about 15 free glasses of champagne on the deck and bring in the new year!!! IT is one of the more expensive cruises . . but we get one of the inside cheapy rooms hahah. . and figure we are rarely in the room anyway . . . it's fine for us.

With free champagne on deck we can quote Poul Simon in Central Park 1982 Concert "Let's make our own fireworks go"

Just got off the Dream in December & booked our Fantasy Cruise today!!! We are SOOO excited!!! It will be just me & my 15 yr old DD. This will be our second mother/daughter Disney Cruise! We are also going to the parks for a few days before the cruise, staying at the Wilderness Lodge! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

The Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite Disney resorts. Did you know they have an all you can eat platter of BBQ Ribs ? They keep replacing the platter until you say NO MORE. Well, you have to like BBQ Ribs of course

Just thought I would pop by and say hello. We are joining you on NYE as the last week of our back 2 back 2 back on the Fantasy which starts on the 15th December.

I apologise for not having updated tickers but I dont know how to delete them so that I can put new ones on

DS will be 15 and DD will be celebrating her 13th birthday on board. I noticed that there is another family doing a back 2 back with a similar aged daughter. Perhaps nearer the time they could chat on facebook or skype. My DS and DD still remain friends with their first friends made several cruises ago from 2005.

I noticed there is no FE yet but when there is one please can we be on the list.

Its nearly March. Not long to December. Well looks like another bad English weather summer being wished away. hahahahaha

We celebrated last year DD 18th birthday on our Euro Magic Cruise so if you need any tips on especial birthday amenities just throw in your questions. I'll be celebrating my 50th birthday on this NYE Fantasy Cruise, not quite the same as your DD until you get to the cake they are all great

Welcome!!! As far and I've seen no plans for FE yet, I'm in for it too!!

I've posted a "menu" of things that can be done a few pages back so you may have an idea on what to sign in for.

I'm thinking we should wait for a few Fantasy sailing so more people will get the NYE Cruise Bug, so what does the forum think a good date to be for all of us to start organizing things here ?

As I'm sure all have seen the pictures and the videos of The Disney Fantasy, she looks Fantastic, doesn't she ? I cant help feeling I'm cheating on my first love, Disney Magic

I think we can start planning when we're six months out, but not close it to anyone until much closer to the cruise (for whomever takes over the FE duties.)

I loved seeing the Fantasy pictures. I wish I could have gone up to Port Canaveral for the day to watch it come in. Funny how my job supports my Disney habit and gets in the way of it at the same time.

For those of you who have booked, did you get your OBB 10% and credit? And was it through DCL or a TA? DCL said not available and I could call back to see if I can get it applied...

We booked ours on board our last cruise and got the 10% discount and on board credit.

Alright everyone, I know it's still about a year away....but it's never too early to start planning .......I have been thinking about the formal night outfit, and I'm not sure if I want to buy a new dress that is more simple/straight or if I want to pull out my Belle gown from senior prom...

I'm the one in the yellow Belle dress (Sorry for the obstructed view with the flowers) Not sure if it would be too much? too fancy???
Opinions and Suggestions are appreciated
(My parents say no, but that's because they don't want to have to buy another dress! )

I LOVE your Belle dress, although that might be a bit much to pack in your suitcase.

We are joining you all on this NYE cruise! Can not wait! We sailed our first cruise this past Christmas on the Disney Wonder's Mexican Riviera Cruise and we are hooked. We surprised our 3 boys with that cruise and this NYE cruise will be a surprise for them as well, only they will find out about this one Christmas day, unlike the last one, where we surprised them right before we went to the dock in LA. Any way, super excited to be joining you all on this one. In two weeks we are cruising the Magic for our 2nd cruise, so I'm hoping we will be pro's my New Years. Looking forward to getting to know you all and attending meet & greets on the ship. Probably won't be doing fish extenders as fun as it all sounds, I just don't want to pack anything more than we'll need. I tend to pack a lot and where they weigh those suitcases I don't want to chance it. Cruising will be me (Marissa), my husband (John) and our 3 boys, (JJ 9, Nick 8 and Will 5).
