New Years Eve week booking!!!

Who else is getting ready to try to get something for NYE week at DVC? I have a new work schedule, so DH is going to have to begin the process. We can only make a 3 night trip, but I'm looking forward to seeing the NYE festivities. I'm hoping for BWV, that's where we own most of our points.

Have an "alarm" on my phone set for every day this week at 8:45am...booking day-by-day to get my NYE ressies confirmed! (Not sure I entirely "need" to book day-by-day at this point. However, I figure better safe then sorry! I imagine the phones will be VERY tied up on Feb. 1st!!!

Good luck to everyone booking their NYE reservations! I just finished booking our Christmas vacation. (We decided not to stay through NYE this year.) The trick to getting through and not getting a busy signal is to call about 30 seconds before 9am, listen to the recording and wait a couple of seconds after 9am, then push 1 for member services. It worked for me every morning!

Well, I began our NYE booking this morning. (Called yesterday forgetting I was a day too early. Oops.) Promptly at 9am. Line was busy so I redialed. Got through on the 5th try. No ringing, just answered with a wait of about 8 minutes.

We have a HA SSR studio for the 30th. Calling back tomorrow and Saturday and my trip is complete.

How's everyone else faring so far?

I started Tuesday at 9:00am on a day by day reservation to get a BCV 2br with 2queens for the week of NYE's. This is our first trip during the holidays and i didn't want miss out. Only 3 more days to call and we'll be all set. For those of you going through the NYE's weekend next year remember that starting this Sunday, Feb. 3rd, MS is open.

I've been booking at SSR for a 1 bedroom. We check in Dec 21 so I will be glad when Saturday gets here and I am done! We are not splitting our stay this year, just 2 weeks straight at SSR

Since NYE falls during the week this year, the points are cheaper this year. Could be why it is so busy. You are there for the holiday and avoiding weekend nights.

I can't seem to get thru with the 800 number. After about an hour each morning I end up calling the 407 number. Can't wait to get my phone bill!
