Did anyone have any at runner relations updating their corrals? With the extra corral I think people were expecting different waves based on previous races. Looks like all challenge runners’ waves are based on their longer race, regardless if they had better proof of time listed for the 10k/5k as well.

It's a pace estimate for the 5k/10k but yes, looks like they're making a switch to one corral for Dopey.

Disappointed as I went straight to expo from airport and wasn’t able to get a virtual queue spot at 1pm. It just immediately said it was closed. Now will have to make a second trip back to get my prepaid merch even though 2 cast members told me it wasn’t in the same place as the regular merch. It is. Ugh.

No need for a VQ spot for prepaid merch. There is a separate entrance they let you in at.

Wow. That expo was not fun. It felt…tense. We didn’t buy anything other than pins, a mug, the shoe ornament, and a medal hanger for DD. The only race-specific thing I liked was the HM hoodie.

I am so disappointed. Easily my worst ever expo in 19 of them. We got # 54 for our VQ and it estimated about 40 minutes after expo opening so we headed over at 9:45 am to pick up bibs and get our shirts first. It was line after line after line, and the VQ estimates were horrible. They never adjusted them to realistic times. They'd say 55 minutes and 20 minutes later it would be 50 minutes. We finally got in about 2 hours after the original estimate only to hit another line to get in (probably 30 minutes) and then once inside the most ridiculous line for Dopey merchandise. It was easily over an hour for the handful of items they had. The sole sweatshirt sold out well before of any small sizes. We left with Brooks Chip and Dale shoes, and that's it. Nothing for our first Dopey A very nice woman gave me a FB group with someone who does Dopey stuff so maybe we'll find something there. So all in over 4.5 hours in at the Expo--it's now dead to me!

it is exactly same place as regular merch. you dont even need virtual queue to get in. just show id via the side entrance and you basically go into same entrance and hence bypass the queue completely...but pre order pickup is inside merch area

Finally back at okw. Feet and legs exhausted and I’m thirsty hungry and cranky. No room ready text and I still need to grocery shop. Not the day I envisioned. I should have just sat by the pool and gone to the expo this evening. Oh well. Definite lesson learned.

I’m confused, but this is only my second Dopey and I had the same corral for both bibs last year. Can you get a higher corral placement for the 5k/10k bib with a separate POT? Is that mainly an advantage for folks who don’t have a qualifying distance POT for the marathon?

5k and 10k had been entirely based on pace estimate prior to this year and treated separately from the longer races, so you could be placed higher in the 5k/10k than the half/full. Now if you sign up for Dopey what you put in for the half/full is what you get across the board.

Somehow DD snagged us 4 in the virtual. We had to hurry and get ready. Arrived a little before 10. Went straight into the expo, grabbed a little bit of swag (waited roughly 30-40 min in the dopey line), did the online checkout, snaked around in the bib line that moved fairly decent, walked right up to grab the bib once inside, did the long walk for the big expo and shirts, walk right up to grab the shirts, picked up a few items, and lastly grabbed a beer. Took about 2 hours. Honestly not great but not terrible.

Only complaint is the beer selection and no cups still. Food selection was meh.

All in all… the stand by line for Guardians is worse

Historically, the 5k/10k corral placement has been based on the pace estimate you entered during registration while the half/full corral placement was based on your PoT. So it was very possible to have differing corrals for the different bibs.

We should know better that any time Disney tries something new it is a colossal mess. When u all were posting how they were doing Dopey, I knew everything was going to get backed up. We had VQ 63. Original time 11:35AM. Got called at 1:17pm. All I wanted was a Dopey magnet but I would have bought the Dopey sweatshirt too but - nope sold out. So why did they do this special Dopey line again???? 3:31PM - 2+ hours later I am finally leaving with a freakin’ magnet. Insane!!!

Wish I knew they’d take size exchanges for the pre-orders. The size dopey fleece I got is swimming on me. Oh well better than too small I guess

If anyone hasn’t picked up bibs yet, now seems to be a great time. No line at all. Walked right into the building and straight to the bib claim desk. Merch building still seems to be a mess based on the crowd outside, though.

Very weird question alert for those that went to Expo today...is there a Joffrey's at Wide World of Sports? Joffrey's website says Yes but can't seem to find any proof of that on Disney's website. Thanks in advance.
