New Years eve @ Resorts

Does anyone know if the Resorts do anything special for New Years Eve? We are planning on staying one night on site this year but not attending the parks. Just wondering of any of the resorts have special events for that night. Any info would be great - Thanks.

Not that I know of. We were at the All Stars Music three years ago and there was nothing special. Althought from our rooms in Jazz, we could see the Magic Kingdom fireworks going off at midnight. But I think we were just lucky with the "view". Our neighbors were out on the walkway but that was about it. I guess Disney thinks if you don't want a big celebration, you go back to the room. That's why we were in the room and not in a park.

Back in 2003 we stayed at the Swan and went over the Boardwalk for dinner. At BWI they has a live DJ set up and he played music and games with everyone and it was fun. Not usre if they still do it but the kids still talk about how much fun it was.
