Got all dressed up last night and was able to master (sort of) my new 'do' - hurrah!! No pics tho' as Dick had car trouble and we were running late for our dinner ressie...

GOOD Morning MM's... you know i'm excited....24 hours we're leaving for LA....48 hours i'll be getting ready for DL & thanks to my beloved boss, lunching at Club 33 for yet another BD celebration...not so much for mine, but more for my friend who is probably wondering if i had forgotten her BD this year....but i really wanted to keep this luncheon a real surprize...and then a few days of R&R in the desert....Yes there are the obligatory cocktail parties & dinners...but DH & I really enjoy this trip...one we look forward to each year....

Finalized the auction numbers yesterday & allocated the funds with the principal at the HS....barring no other expenses...it appears that we made enough to fund the scholarships for the families needing trip assistance, a chartered bus to get everyone from the school to the San Francisco airport day of departure, the bus driver & tour guide's tips -AND will be able to give all other students at least $500 off their trip fees.... You know I just LOVE successful events and the community spirit of giving....

I am sure that Richard can get you into Club 33...but didn't you say that his company has a US partner - chances are that firm is a member or has the right connections...we're going thru my boss thru his Morgan Stanley connection...anyway he should definitely check into that...what your dates next summer?

What an excellent idea, Brenda! I would never have thought to give that a try! He actually works for Citi, so US company thro' and thro'! I'll get him to check it out...

We're staying in DL from August 17th to 23rd...

Hi all! Gloomy, cold day here today...

My nikon is FAB!!! I've been waiting for two days for the sun to come out but it just ain't happenin...I've got Band Shots to do today at 4, I know they'll turn out perfectly even without sunshine. My nikon has all the bells and whistles I need in a good camera, the five year warranty is bonus~

Congratulations Brenda!! Your fundraiser was a HUGE success!

ok...I won't be trying out my camera today...the drummer just called, he tweaked his back working and we have rescheduled for tomorrow...wish me sunshine guys-pictures turn out soooo much better with a little sunshine~

no biggie...I'm gonna spend the rest of today chillin around the house and with DH when he gets home. I don't even know where he is He gets up sooo much earlier than me I don't know if he went to work or out with my DBIL...that's what I get for sleeping til 1030 every day.

Oh my....i don't think it's Halloween material....but oh my you look so 'british' or maybe 'prim & proper' is the right words....oh maybe i should shut up before i get in trouble...but i have to say you look so young & fun today!

I know what you mean! Dick's wearing a suit he bought for University - it had to be 'sub-fusc' which is a requirement peculiar to Oxford University and you don't get much more prim, proper and British than that institution! As for me, there's really no excuse - a perm and highlights is pretty much unforgivable...
