What a fret! I agree I'd be on that first bus(okay really I'd make DH haul buns in the car) to see my baby, but not all parents and children interact this way. Even within the same family.

Prayers for your son (his work is hard) prayers for his friend.

My dear nephew is also on the Sheriff's force, in San Joquin County. I worry all the time for him. But I'm so proud that he has decided to serve his world in this way.

Glad to hear your voice and vents are ok with us we're those types of mamas too....

I wouldn't care if my girls, their husbands, or my grandchildren were the worst people in the world - if anything ever happens to them I want to be with them. (fortunately they are the best}

When the military asked if I wanted to go back in to go to this current conflict a few years ago my girls told me to forget it. That pleased me, it showed me they would worry. Working in a maximum security prison worries them also; but, that's not near as bad as war or being on the police force.

so girl - vent away. It makes one feel better.

I booked a tour for the 14th at MK. I am buying Universal passes good for the whole week and disney passes to use at the end of the week. Will you get a car? Rose will have one. Her sister is expected to be in town the beginning of our week. We arrive the night of 12/8 around 7 which means to summer bay by 8. Whaddaya got in mind lady?

Paul is thinking red eye on thursday the 6th, then we'd fly home on Sunday the 9th not sure what time. Hard enough to get the kids pawned off for one school night with a friend, 2 is too much to ask for.

so, I'm just wondering who will be where when, not sure I want to come or not, it's a lot of plane time for just 2 days, and then I'm alone for the day (or with friends) but not like Paul and I would have a ton of alone time....just feeling it out and nope I haven't even thought of the car or hotel stuff yet, just bouncing to see who will be there right now.

Debbie, I don't understand parents like that either! I have no control over my instincts/emotions where my family's concerned and like you, I'd be dust in my haste to get to the hospital! Some folk just don't deserve their offspring...

GHIII appears to have passed Samuel by. At the moment he's away in Biarritz on an intense French language course. I'm really missing him. I know he's away much of the time but I was under the impression it was a a 4 day trip but he's actually away for 8 nights! He returns on Sunday afternoon and then he's back to school that evening! Just glad I've got the secret trip to WDW with him soon. I need some Mom/Son quality time...

And I can't believe no one has mentioned this - OMG ANTONIO BANDERAS!!!!!

Karen, we have the tour at MK the morning of the 14th and the park closes at 7 that night. We have a 1pm flight out on the 15th. I haven't set up our transport to the airport on saturday yet. Rose is flying seperate from us and she'll have the rental car. Any idea what you'll be doing that night or the next morning? I'd love to work out a mini meet if we can...

actually i just work pretty long hours & i'm here till 3;30 - 4:00 most days...BUT...next week = i'm off (DL on Monday - then over to Palm Springs - so i can call you next Tuesday 11/06 or Wed 11/07 (whichever day is best for you)...we can take all the time needed with no interruptions from anyone....LOVE your website page!!!!

Tigg, just been studying your CM website pages - they're so cool! I wish I lived in the US - you could totally recruit me...

I finally found that CM have UK consultants - I emailed the nearest a couple of weeks ago but have heard nothing! It's definitely not the upbeat concern it is in the US... I feel very frustrated!

As far as meeting up in WDW goes, it's gonna be tough but I'd really like to make it happen even if it's just for a quick coffee... Samuel and I get into Orlando at around 5pm - if all goes to plan i.e: no delays. OR I could definitely meet with you on the Saturday morning! Actually that's probably the best plan...

Kaz. If you're independant enough with doing a demo you could do this thru Brenda and me. It's a thought.

My only advice is you gotta be serious to do this. I knew when I ordered the starter kit that CM's is a serious business. I like it. It's right up my alley. My motivation is to finally start scrapbooking all the pictures I've been taking and eventually I'd like my friends and I to build up to all day sessions like Brenda does and earn money doing it. My first show will be my feeler...I'll see what reaction I get from our friends as I introduce the product and my ideas to them....once I see their response I'll know if this is for real.

Friday will be our last night and your first. If you are up to it I'm thinking Friday would work better for me only because Rose'll have the car and leaves for the airport before us on saturday. I *know* there's a really good chance you'll be tired tho . We'll tawlk, soon.


Guess what I did today...

I bought me a camera. Had to. I already got a phonecall to do pics for a local band. aaaanyway...after lots of research and consideration I actually got me a cheaper one than what I was looking at. I got a nikon D40. Nice camera, light weight, digital slr...just like what the boss took back, only better

I've never spent that much on a camera for myself before

I got two lenses and a 2 gig memory card to go with it. Wound up finding the best price on amazon. I am determined to make this camera make me some money. Art shows. Media/Publications. something.

Aisling, thank you for setting me on this path...now when are you gonna start writing again? Being an at home mom I'd think you could write entire novels that would sell.

Just had an earthquake. We are all ok. No damage in the house. It is being reported at 5.6 and centered about 10 miles from our house. We ran to the doorways and the kids got out of bed. Trying to reach my mom, she is out to dinner with my sisters and the cell service phone lines are down now.
