New Years Day Brunch

We arrive at the world late morning on Jan. 1st. We are planning a no park day on. That first day and hoping that one of the resort eateries did a brunch on New years Day. Anyone done a brunch for New Year's?

Never have heard of a special NYD brunch. How late are you talking?

You might like afternoon tea at the GF, it very nice with plenty to eat.

Nothing special that I remember. We went 2 years ago for my daughters bday(NYD baby) and there were many options for large breakfasts. Whispering cafe in Wilderness lodge has a family stye deal and of course all the character breakfasts have buffets. Great time of year to visit.

We are looking at arriving around noon. The reason I asked was I know Chef Mickey's calls their breakfast "brunch" on Christmas and Eastefr, and served it until 1 or 2, or at least they used to. I thought if we arrived at the right time it might be a nice way to start our trip.

You're already less than 4 months out, so people have been booking that very crowded day's dining reservations for months already. You might want to start by checking to see what's still available. I wouldn't be surprised if Chef Mickey's is fully booked already, especially for brunch after people sleep in after NYE.

I was able to book Chef Mickey's at 12:25 so I guess they do have brunch on NYD.

I suspect you will be getting lunch food though; not typical brunch food. During the holiday periods and free dining business Chef Mickey's typically serves a lunch buffet...during the rest of the year it is just breakfast and dinner. I am sure it will still be good and fun but didn't want you to be expecting typical brunch foods.
