New Year 2012/2013 @DLRP?

Hi All, We've been looking at possibly booking a very short trip at New Year for the family but the official site won't let me enter the actual 30th/31st and it will only give me availability for two days if I enter earlier dates . Surely it couldn't/wouldn't be entirely sold out everywhere???/ And if it is can anyone tell me just how busy it is . If it is absolutely pinned I don't think we would enjoy it very much .

I think its just a technical glitch, try a different browser sometimes that helps me.

I think it's because only dates up to 31/12/12 have been released yet. January dates should be released in June.

As for how busy - it will be absolutely packed on NYE but I bet the atmosphere is fantastic.

I did NYE at DLP once and... never again
They have disco music along main street and there is so much people that you can barely move. Also dining will be a problem: many restaurants have a special (and costly) special menu and it's difficult to find a place to eat. After midnight there are wonderful fireworks, but the whole night was not "magic" as I would have expected.
However the parks in that period are magical, since there are all the Christmas decorations and shows until mid January.
When we came back to Paris for NYE, we booked the 31/12 night in Paris and head to DLP on new year day. Parks will not be crowded and it will be considered low season in the parks. It is a huge money saver: the cost of all nights will be decided by the day of your arrival. If you arrive in the week betweer Christmas and NYE, you'll pay the highest season and probably will not find good offers. Arriving 1/1 you'll get low season and maybe some offer like a free night.

Thanks everybody and that's a great tip about booking from 1/1/2013 We just don't enjoy the parks when they are busy, and would rather forego even the extra hours/shows in high season for quieter parks .
