Using a code for last July and I believe mid August, I got Wl for $129 a night standard. Total was $143 with taxes. I am hoping with the economy being down that this year will be even better.

I have a question about codes.
I booked my package through WDW Travel (standard WL hotel room, airline tickets, park tickets), so I really dont know what I am paying per night for WL.
If a code comes out for August rates, can I get WDW Travel to lower my package price based on the new room rates?
I would love to be able to cut the price down somewhat!

Also, anyone have a suggestion for a good standard room at WL? I have only stayed in Courtyard and Woods Views before, but we are trying to keep costs down this trip so we are staying standard.
Are there any standard rooms in the north wing?

I don't believe they will adjust your price when a code comes out. Sometimes you are better off booking everything seperately, especially if you can get the room at a great discount with a code.

You just have to run the numbers and see what works out best for you.

I think, with a package, you are paying the rack rate and then the package is added on at a certain price and then you can use a Disney Club discount or something to save a little.

Figure it out both ways and see what way is cheaper.

There is also no guarantee that there will be a code out to get you the discount on the room you want to stay in.

....book your rooms with a code (if one becomes available) and cancel the first ones (as long as the time frame allows). I agree with vbfamily that it usually is cheaper to book everything separate instead of a "package deal".....good luck!

Just had to share the good news. Our little bundle of joy was born Feb 27 (DW's birthday). His name is Hayden Nole. He will hopefully be visiting the WL this summer and then he will be a WL VET. You can see him in this link, picture wouldn't show.
