I was wondering if a floor higher up might be even more quiet. But, how high up can we go and still have the privacy balcony, as opposed to an "open" one?
Any other suggestions?
ptrbryant:The concierge floor(7th)has the privacy balconies. We just stayed there over xmas.Room7119 courtyard. With only around 50 rooms it was very quiet. We had a tree set up out on the privacy balcony and being covered saved it from the elements. It was nice to just sit out there and relax. The concierge lounge can get noisy as it is open and overlooks the lobby but what a nice view and great staff. Can't say enough about Jack,Steve,Miguel and the rest of the crew for making our stay that much nicer.Wish your husband the best.Enjoy your stay.:)

AghhH! It's here, it's here! My DH and I are going home to the WLV tomorrow! I'm so excited! We're taking our neighbors so it's sure to be a Disney blast! Thanks for all of the info on this board... it's the absolute best! I'll file a TR when we return!

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if there are clotheslines in the rooms at WL? Some hotels have pull out ones in the shower and I was wondering. Thanks:D

Yes, there are pull out lines in the shower. You will love the Lodge. I cannot think of a single thing they do not have.

I have been reading these threads for over an hour and have found so much information that I didn't already know. Thanks to everyone! I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge twice but it's been several years ago. My husband (a heart patient) and I are planing on staying at the Wilderness Lodge (not planing on visiting the parks a whole lot) the week after Thanksgiving. We have been there before at that time and I just love Christmas time at the Wilderness Lodge. I could just sit for hours in the lobby!
My question is: I need a room close to the lobby elevator. Would prefer deluxe concierge. Is there such a thing? Are there any deluxe rooms close to the elevators? Could I add concierge service on to it? I have never stay in a deluxe or used concierge service so would appreciate any information anyone has. Are there any photos of a deluxe room? Thanks for your help!

...to hear that you and yours had a wonderful experience at WL!
Just one thing:
Now you DEFINITELY qualify as a WL vet, so don't forget to add it to your siggie!! - You too, CastawayChar!- ;)

(PS ~ We'd love to see some pics if you can post them..... )

Humphrey, aksmickey or anyone able to help!

My FI and I will be HM'ing from 2/17 through 2/23. I have been slowly reading through the thread and have room questions.

We would like a king size bed with a nice view if possible. We would prefer to be away from the smoking section.

What should I put in our request? Can you suggest any specific rooms or should I just fax a general list of requests like above?

I am REALLY excited! Just 5 more weeks!!

CMMAM,
We're going to be honeymooning there as well. We have the honeymoon suite for 3 nights...but another king bed, standard view for the other 7(don't know which one yet). I did alot of reading on here...and so far the only one that I've made a note about was someone said that room 7064 is really great b/c it has a king bed and a perfect view of the magic kingdom. Good Luck and let me know which room you get and if it's a good one!

Hi all......HAPPY NEW YEAR and MAY IT BE A MAGICAL ONE....

For you honeymooners, there are king beds in both the woods view and courtyard view, some are dedicated kings, others are handicapped accessible...There are NO kings in a standard view room...Room 7064 on the concierge level looks out into the woods facing the Magic Kingdom, you should be able to see some fireworks....

Remember.....Where Magic Lives......

askmickey, thanks, Happy New Year to you as well!

Do you think 7064 would be the best room to request? Which room has your favorite view?

If we do want 7064, its a $35 dollar upgrade if available, right?

Thanks so much for helping us all. It will be magic!

Maybe we will see you there?!?!

2bemarried! - I will come back with a full report of all the fun!

...again!!!

Best Wishes (and here's some pixie dust ~ * ~ * ~ *) and happy thoughts for those of you who will be visiting WL in the upcoming days......

Hey guys....we'll be leaving for the WL in just a few short days!

I have a nice little fax all ready to be sent....it's just to reconfirm our desire for a non-smoking room (which is very important to us) and the bunk beds that we want, but ofcourse are not guaranteed.

My son turns 13 on the day before we arrive, and we are celebrating it at WDW! I hope we can get a little better of a view than the standard view we booked, but if not...at least we'll be at the WL and WDW!

....I thought you were a "die-hard" S/D fan !!!?!?!?! Anyhoo, hope you have a delightful time on your vaca......sending extra pixie dust your way!

Blondie,

Dpn't forget to mention in your fax that it is your son's birthday.
Have a great trip!!!

We'll be there in two weeks. I can't wait!
