New voice when you call disney

I called disney tonight and was shocked to hear a different voice while I was on hold. This new guy sounds like he was "cheaper" than the last guy. I even mentioned it to the woman when she finally answered the line. I told her I hated the new "annoucer" and it sounded unprofessional. The guys doesn't pronounce words correctly. Does this count as a budget cut?

She went on to tell me that she was just on the monorail and that voice has changed also. They could not have changed that familiar voice that we all know and love. Could they?

Oh I certainly hope not. How could they change the monorail voice? I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks this is as much a part of the magic as everything else I even have the monorail spiel on my computer.

I hope not ! The monorail voice was the same last Wed. But you never know with all the media there and new attractions. Maybe someone who is there now can tell us for sure.

The new voice really stinks. It does sound cheaply done. I'm starting to use a travel agent now anyway, because of all the problems folks are having dealing with CRO and the new system.


Now if that guy is the new monorail voice, we're going to have some real problems!

yep - had to call myself out of curiosity....the new guy is OK, but the old guy had that "flair" that made him sould more professional, refined and just plain "Disney-er".

Will be majorly cranked if i get there in March and the monorail guy has been replaced. Something about that particular guy discribing the Poly to me makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

That voice isn't really good. I liked the old one lots better. I guess they have to change things once in awhile
