Racheal ~

Aww crudballs! The good thing is that your RE gave you a plan. Granted it's not the plan you wanted but it's a plan. It doesn't make it any easier though. :upsidedow

That is great news about your insurance though! Mine is pretty good as well and I consider us so lucky!

My fingers are crossed for you and thank you for your good wishes!:)
Thanks E! The thing I wanted most after a baby of course, was an answer. It's not the one I want or hoped for, but I'm getting closer to one.

It is so strange how insurance differs so completely state to state! I have BCBS too.

Cherbear ~ you ok?

Awww Rachael that sucks. I'm so sorry you got that news.

I'm so glad your insurance is so generous, though, and that you have a good RE. At least you have those two things in your favor...

Thanks Si-am. She really was great and said to remember that my age is in my favor and that it "trumps" everything else. So we'll see....

Any news with you?

Believe it or not it's the one thing I don't have. I don't have a "reason" or a why. I have "undetermined" or "unexplained" infirtility.

So my treatments are all aobut plans and seeing which formula will be successful. It's a crapshoot really. . .

But I'm keeping positive and I have you ladies so I'm good!:cloud9:

UGh...not a fun appointment. But you do have a plan and have great insurance. I called on my insurance since my next appointment is with the RE....it will cover testing to diagnose....but no treatments for infertility.

makes no sense really, no sense. . .

I wonder how "male" infirtility stuff is covered?

Reason I ask is because you've gotta love that Birth Control is rarely covered by insurance but Viagra is! Go figure!

but is it normal to have your b00bs feel like AF is coming after this whole thing? Anyone know if that is a good or a bad sign? Mine start to feel like AF is coming around the same time everyday, around now, like my body is being possessed by Dolly Parton and stuff! (:worship: All hail Dolly!)

Again, sorry to change the subject, but just wonderin. . .

Sorry I'm okay, so sorry I didn't post this earlier. I had my bw and u/s. My progesterone is still high...no wonder I've been nauseated and still having hip and breast pain! It's 29.1 and is supposed to be between 1.5 & 14. Redraw of b/w on Thursday (during my lunch hr). If it's fine I start tamoxifen 3 pills a day on thurs night. And HSG is Friday morning. If no blockages I see the dr again 5 days after my last dose of tamox (which I take for 5 days). I'm nervous about the hsg...I am glad my dh will be with me b/c I KNOW it's going to hurt. But I'm also scared of what they will find.

I just don't know why my progesterone is so high and I started AF yesterday. I actually seemed to have stopped bleeding already. (just some spotting earlier) So I guess it will start again when my progesterone drops down?

 Rachael. That stinks.

I am glad, though that your RE is taking some action and that your insurance will cover it.

There is a woman on the DIS who had a similar problem, and she used an egg donor. I bet she would be willing to talk to you if you would like. Let me know.

Denae

Thanks Denae, I appreciate the support from everyone here because I don't share this with my family or DH's family because they all think we should just be happy with what we already have.....

I remember her situation from the first TTC thread just not the name. I'll keep it in mind if we have to think of that as an option.

Rachel- so sorry. glad that you have a plan and I hope the best case scenario works out for you.

I am having one of those work days when you just feel like you can't keep your eyes open. . .:surfweb:. Ugh, and it's not a pregnancy symptom- haha, I am not in the TWW yet. Just boredom.

With all of the IUI going on I can feel good news on the way- I hope we get a bunch of BFP's soon! Crossing my fingers for all of you who are waiting!

Thanks and yes, we need some good news around here!

This stinks. I don't get how insurance is allowed not to cover infertility treatments. It is a medical condition if a body part is not supposed to function as it's intended.

At the RE today they had a stuffer in the info packet that says you can kind of prepay for IVF, 3 treatments I think and if it does not work they will refund you a large portion of the costs so that you can pursue other options.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll pull it out of my packet for you.:goodvibes

E-

Don't be sorry! I've monopolized the entire afternoon! For me, when I got pregnant "naturally" I had sore ****s and was sleepy almost immediately. That might be a good sign! Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you.:cheer2:

It's great your DH is going with you. Did they give you an antibiotic to take before hand? Did they also tell you to take Advil before too? (That's what they told me to do if we have to go there.)

Hopefully they won't find anything at all or at least nothing that's too much trouble. Sending good vibes your way.:goodvibes

yes, the antibiotic and instructed me to take aleve or advil. I'm going to take several of the advil. LOL

So can anyone explain this super high progesterone? I just don't get it.

not for nuthin but when I went to the dr about another matter all together and I told him that we were TTC both he and my endocronologist (diabetes dr who is also my internist) advised me not to take advil if I was TTC and to take extra strength Tylenol instead. I think I've taken advil once or twice since. Not sure of the reasons why but just thought i'd put that out there. I took tylenol before my HSG and as I've told everyone, it was definatley uncomfortable, and I thought at one point I was gonna poo but please don't be too scared! I have fingers crossed you will be ok!!!:goodvibes

Thank you - I don't know why insurance excludes things, but it definitely makes my job interesting (I'm the benefits coordinator at my company). I saw on the website of the Fertility Center I'm going to offers that also....I think they will refund 70% if you aren't successful in three attempts. I really don't think we will be able to afford IVF though. We might try IUI if they feel like there is a better chance with it....it will just depend on costs.

I talked to my dr about the advil things and they said it was a MUST for the procedure. It helps relax the muscles and helps stop the cramping.

Please take it 30 mins before hand so it works.

Hey ladies! :)

I'm home from my day at the spa. Kenny sent me there today to get pampered for V-day. He ordered the works minus waxing. (I don't do waxing. :scared1:).

I got: an hour body massage, 30 minute facial, hair trim and roll up to look like Taylor Swift, and make-up done. He and I went out to dinner at Cheesecake Factory tonite and then....I treated him to a full body massage. :rolleyes1 Keep your fingers crossed ladies...here's hoping. If not, try try again. :headache::sad2:

I talked to my dx and she said that after 6 months of trying naturally and getting a BFN, we'd move on to the next step. I will be seeing her next month. :goodvibes for you ladies!

Anna
