New TSA Rules - Small knives will be allowed

Lovely.

But God forbid I pack a bottle of hair spray in my carry on.

Ok, so small sharp knives are now ok but a bottle of water is a not.

okay. :confused3

Thank you for sharing the news.

And since when were your golf clubs a carry on. Yeah that is going to fit in the overhead bin

And the bomb threat .....thanks for the laugh. If you think the Thousands Standing Around protect you, you need to think again. It is a show to make you think something effective is being done.

I would guess they could go in a coat closet, but can't imagine why they would ever be allowed as a carry on anyway, due to size. I can't see a golf bag filled with clubs being allowed; too large and heavy. Maybe they mean individual clubs?

Didn't it say "two clubs"? And since when would a hockey stick fit in an overhead bin? :rotfl2:

That's what I thought too. Just what we need, golf clubs up in the overhead. It's so easy to find space up there already..

I doubt people that are going on golfing vacations are only going to bring 2 golf clubs. :rotfl:

But yet a bottle of water or soda is still considered verboten.

Ooookay. :sad2:

Unless you work for the airport, a vendor at the airport or the airline because they are all allowed to bring in any size liquid.

After all, one of the "liquid" bomb plotters worked at the airport so allowing airport employees to bring all this on helps ensure your safety :lmao::lmao:

You are allowed a knife, but not a metal nail file. Had one of mine pulled out of my carry on and kept when we flew back home last time.

Really? a knife? I just want to take on my contact solution! :headache:

Contact solution is allowed, in any amount, I believe. It is considered medical. :)

Double check the TSA site.

I must be the only one thrilled about this. Now I won't have to drive 7 hours to a tournament because my dd can carry her lacrosse sticks on board. We would never check them because they are custom made and can't be replaced if they got lost in missing-luggage-land.
