New trip planned but not 100% happy...

Well let me explain something.
After reading that thread On the BB, I was so upset for her kids. Having worked for a ticket and then not being able to go. I was actually up late last night thinking about them. And then I wondered why she didn't reply on the Budget Board, and felt sorry for those kids.
Let me tell yu something else.
I was/am a single mother and not by choice. I have never asked for any government assistance , or a handout. I worked for everything. And let me tell you, it was hard. But I can't imagine taking cash for a vacation while not working myself, and if that makes me aflamer, so be it. I am honestly so upset my hands are shaking.

She never asked for money. She only asked for advice on how to raise money. If someone wanted to donate money to her so that she and her family can enjoy a vacation in WDW and use free tickets that they received by volunteering in the community, more power to them. And, for the record, she didn't seem to be bragging to me.

I take great exception to the "not working" comment. Really? A mom raising several kids, all of whom she home-schools is not working? Receiving a paycheck isn't the definition of working.

And now that the thread is completely off course, let's try to steer it back, shall we? Do you have any advice for someone doing WDW solo for a few days?

OP, I have never done WDW solo for a few days, but I think some have given you great advice! Go! Enjoy yourself!

Oh, yeah...and don't forget the TR! :thumbsup2

I'm sure her kids are fine and there's nothing for you to be concerned about. Just because she's trying to come up w/extra cash for a camping trip doesn't mean that her kids are suffering. What part of raising 6 kids doesn't sound like work to you?

I don't know what circumstances caused you to be a single parent, but it sure as heck doesn't give you the right to stalk and bash someone else. If someone elses life, which you don't have the full scoop on, causes you to be so upset that you're shaking....then pleasseee turn off your computer and get some sleep.

I really don't get why someone sending her a few bucks and a CM ticket, that probably didn't cost them anything anyway should get under your skin so bad.

There's no reason for it to be of any concern to you whatsoever.

Once again...I am on your heels. :goodvibes

I'm glad to see that the Fort folks are sticking up for their own.

Sorry OP. Hopefully this will be the end of the Great Budget Board War.

I hope your trip is great and please Oh please take plenty of pics to share with the class.

We love a good trip report around here.

I have been to Disney a couple times without my daughter and it's been fun to just ride around on my bike or cart or go to the pool.

On another note about the high jacker it's too bad the C G W had to come here and start stuff.

Great minds think alike. ;)

Reminds of "This Cowboy's Hat" by Chris Ledoux...basically if you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us. :goodvibes

I was just going to say he should give you a call. I already see y'all looping on the cart with a cold drink and washing dishes with the green hose.:lmao:

On a nosey note....what is the C G W? Or should I ask?

Sounds like the perfect scenario to me, :thumbsup2

:lmao:

:goodvibes Sassy pants. Love it! Now you're talking like me.

Don't for get the canoeing. How peaceful would that be all alone? :cloud9:

Maybe even the Segway tour?.....or a horseback ride?

Hmmm...trying to decide if I want to know about CGW. :rolleyes1

Saw this thread this morning and then spent the better (or worse) part of the afternoon on the BB reading "that" thread. :furious:

OP, you'll be fine. Last year I went for a whole week without DH and did just fine. I missed him, but I was not lonely or sad a single moment. (Please don't tell DH that though.;))
