When I go in August I am thinking about riding ToT. Now that there are new drops and maybe I heard all lap seats on certain. I would like your opinions about the new and improved ToT. And don't forget to say how you felt efore it, during it, and after.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

It's great! Every time you ride, it's different from the last. A must-ride.

This has been my favorite ride since it opened!! The new drops are exhilarating, it's great never knowing what's coming up. Also, the seat belts are installed on about 3/4 of the cars, as of mid-may. That was my count, I had been hearing 1/2, but then I started counting the cars coming in, and judging based on that, and it was more. The seatbelt made me feel like I was less secured, as there was nothing to hold on to, but it was great! You were closer to the seat, but felt like you were flying more. In a couple of the sequences, we were changing direction so quickly and so often I couldn't tell if we were on our way down or up. COOL!!!!

I haven't been on ToT since they reprogrammed it, but we're going to be there in 28 Days!!!

I've read in Disney Magazine that besides the drops, they have added other sensations (smells, sounds, rushes of cold air) to make the experience new. One is a particular smell and sound that make you feel the elevator is having "problems".

I can't wait to get on it!

The new sequences made a great ride even better. I actually miss the lapbars though. While I remember the novelty of getting the "jump seat" with the seat belt was very cool, now that I've had a few "jump seat" rides in the all seat-belt cars you're in too snug. You no longer feel like you're flying out of your seat like you would with the lapbar.

Well you know how Disney sometimes tries to "Improve" things and they, umm, don't quite do that? This time they totally succeeded! :bounce: The ride is better then before. I spent 3 hours one evening in May riding it over and over and over.

I think you'll be thrilled with the changes!

I liked the lap bars but when we were there last week they were all replaced with seat belts.
There are some kind of handles on the left and right side of the seats that you can still hold on to.
We rode it 13 times last week until we ran out of time and had to go back home.
The new drop sequences and illusions are really fantastic!
A truly awesome ride!!!!!!

The ride rocks a LOT more now! I love it with the different drops & raises & bounces! Yes, it is true all the bars have been replaced with seatbelts. When I first got into one without the bar, I actually felt more "vulnerable" as to what was going to happen, with not having the bar to hold onto anymore. It's also true that they do have the handles on the sides of the seats, but once again they are pretty small I think!

Needless to say I love the ride the way it is now and wouldnt change it for anything!!!
