We are renting points from a DVC member and have a standard view studio for 3 days, then preferred view studio for 3. We are staying at BWV in May. After searching threads about this, I have decided to request:
1. SV- Either 3111 area or 4111 area for a view of fireworks
2. PV- A view of the main pool area

I remember reading about how to go about requesting this, but can't remember exactly how. Could a kind someone tell me how to do this?
Also, is there a resort map somewhere that shows room numbers on it and tells which are studios?

One more question-
Is pool hopping still allowed? We are planning on enjoying the pool at BWV mostly, but would like the chance to see the pool at YC/BC.

Thanks for reading and for your responses.

3111 was our room!!! We really liked it. It is far from the elevators, but we didn't mind the walk. As you leave the elevators and start down the hall, it forks and our room was to the left, but on the right is a door with stairs to the pool. Pool hopping is still allowed, but I know there's been some discussion about who exactly gets to pool hop, just DVC members or people like yourself who are staying on point as well. I'm curious if all room keys at BWV say *DVC Member* on them when using points or those that are actually members? If you are allowed to pool hop, especially at Y/B club, call before you go over there and make sure the pool is not at capacity. I would hate to lug all my stuff over there and not get in.

Generally, people that rent points are not eligible for the same perks that DVC members are - but the key thing is whether your room key says "DVC Member" or not. If it doesn't say "DVC Member" then pool hopping won't be an option.

Also, SAB is going to be removed from available pool hopping options as soon as BCV opens - I don't recall when that date is.

As far as room requests, you need to have the member you are renting points from contact Member Services and note your requests on the reservation.

Thanks much for the quick replies.

Now, if someone knows where I can find a map of the BWV with room numbers and what type room (studio, PV or SV) that would help me alot!!

Also, I respect the right of DVC owners having more "perks" than others. :) We will just wait and see on the pool hopping- we will not plan on it. BW has a wonderful pool, from the looks of the picture.

Thanks again
Druz
