New to the dis boards

Hi everyone I'm new to the dis boards. I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Ashley and I'm from New Jersey. I just got engaged in January and me and my DH2B know that we are getting married in Disney in 2008. If anyone has any information or tips they would like to share with me that would be great. Do you know anything about Cinderella's Glass Coach for $2500. I was wondering how long you have it for and where it would pick you up from. What are the ballrooms like in the grand floridian and does anyone have any pictures of them? Did anyone have major domo in their wedding as the ring bearer, I was wondering if he was worth having? Does anyone know anything about the special groom's cake? And how long do you have to wait before you really start planning your wedding, cause when I told them 2008 on the phone they told me to call back 14-16 months before the date? I'm to excited I don't want to wait that long to plan it. I'm ready to fly to Florida tomorrow and check everything out.

Coach ~ The coach is your transportation so it will pick you up from the side of the GF (close to the pool with the water slide); it will take you to the WP, wait while you are married, then you and your groom can have your staged exit, it will bring you back to the WP for pics, then it will take you from the WP to the GF. After you get to the GF for the reception, you will be done using it.

GF Ballrooms ~ I think they are beautiful IMO. ( I *might* be biased tho LOL) I don't know if I still have pics from my site visit or planning session ~ I will have to look.

Major Domo ~ I didn't use MD.

Grooms Cake ~ I am sure you can have this added to your menu when you have your planning session.

2008 ~ Usually they want you to call 14 months out, because they have so many inquiries about weddings that they want to "weed out" those who aren't serious. You can't have your date set until 1 year out, and you won't sign your contract until 8 months out. In the meantime, you can certainly go to check out the WP and the GF as they are public places and open to the public. You can laso start gathering all of your ideas (floral, food, drink, decor, etc)
