new to the board!

Hi there! Just recently came across this board and I wanted to say "hi" to everyone. I am off to Florida in July with my family, I just have a couple questions for everyone.
1. would you pick Magic Kingdom or Universal Studios?
2. has anyone stayed at the villas of somerset in Kissimmee?

Can't answer your question about the villas, we've never stayed there. As far as MK vs. US, our choice is MK. It depends on the ages of your children and their likes/dislikes of rides. MK is more "attraction" oriented, less thrill rides. We find it cleaner and more well run than US.

You might get more responses if you post this on the Theme Park Attractions & Strategies forum of these boards and I believe there is a forum for Orlando Hotels and attractions. You might find answers about the villas over there

I can't help you with the Villas either, but as far as the parks go, I would say MK. It really depends on the age of your children. When we went for the first time in 2000, our two children were 7 and 2. Universal was all right, but no where near as much for little ones to do. My 7 year old Ds was still a little afraid of the rides at Universal. My 2y Dd liked Barney and meeting Angelica, that was it. MK was definitely the way to. Disney is just so much better, & cleaner. I felt like Universal was a waste of our day. I think it's geared more for teens and older. Hope this helps!
