Hi,

I'm new to the idea of scrapboooking and thought I would start here for encouragement and any newbie tips. I've been lurking and viewing online scrapbooks and it looks like something I would love to start. I already have some scrapbook websites in my favorites page so all I need to do is go out to buy the stuff! Too bad I waited until after Christmas to get excited about scrapbooking LOL

Good for you!!! But beware...it is quite an addiction, once you start, you won't want to stop! I'd suggest getting a 12x12 album, you can fit lots of pictures in those. Watch for the Michaels coupons and get your supplies with those. Creative Memories has a lot of things, but they don't do a lot with embellishements. Journal, journal, journal...you'll love to read it later on and so will generations to come--don't worry if you don't have perfect handwriting either, it just helps show another part of who you are! Good luck and come here often to ask as many questions as you want!!!:D :D

Welcome!
I second what Snow White said!
It is so addicting and you will want to buy everything! LOL!
I also love the 12x12 album, and prefer top loading (where you add the sheets)
I would recomend getting a good adhesive (hermifix is my favorite) a 12 inch paper cutter (fiskar makes a nice one) and a good pair of sissors, and nice fine point pen that is safe for photos to start.

Welcome Mish19 to the board! :)
I am also a 12 x 12 Scrapper and prefer top loading pages as well! I just bought a Tinkerbell Album when I was in Disney in October and have just started to get things ready for it...

I hope you enjoy the board, everyone here has lots of great ideas and advice! :)

I was just at my local Ragshop tonight and they had lots of stuff, unfortunately the line was incredibly long so I decided I would go back another day. They had albums, pages, scissors (for 47 cents!), lots of Fiskar products, stickers, and pattern books (a few Disney themed ones).
