New to DVC

I am just starting the ROFR for my 100 point contract to OKW. Getting our feet wet while waiting for Contemporary and Grand California to come up. Wondering if when buying other contractrs through Disney once we are in, do we have to stick to the 160 point contract or can we buy smaller contracts. I would like to have a total of 240 total points when we are done which would allow us to stay pretty much anywhere every other year.

No you dont have to do that. you can purchase as little as 25 but you have to pay cash and to finace the least is 50.

Don't forget you can buy resale or by owner and usually save some money.
