Staying at BC Conceirge 11-30 to 12-7. All this is new to us. Any tips are helpful especially if we should be making room requests. Would like to have full balcony...do I need to request this or do all the conceirge rooms have balconies? :jumping1: :jumping1:

Hi PrincessKatie, I don't have experience with the BC, but we did stay at the YC this past December. First of all, the IPO department that handles concierge pre-planning for the Epcot resorts are amazing. You are in excellent hands with them. As to your room requests, you should have them noted through the IPO staff. If a full balcony is important, make sure that you request it, as not all concierge rooms have them.

If you have your reservation done already, feel free to contact the IPO department and introduce yourself. They'll send you out a great packet of information that includes park maps, recreation guide, resort info, a pre-planning questionnaire and an elevator key so that you can access the 5th floor for private check-in. When you decide which restaurants you'd like to eat in, or anything else, just let them know. Any questions that you have, or if you're looking for ideas, feel free to ask them. They were extremely helpful for our trip.

Here's the e-mail address if you need it, WDW.YBBW.Concierge@disney.com and you can take a look at this thread, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=679928 . It has more information on the various Disney concierge resorts.

Stayed at BC concierege early Dec. 2003. I don't know about full balconies. Our room had a slider that opened but no balcony to speak of. One thing to make note of-for our stay we were overlooking Stormalong Bay which gave us a great view, the only problem was early in the a.m. (before 8-I think) the maintenance crew is out there with leaf blowers blowing the sand back in the pool. The noise was annoying.

That being said we did enjoy concierge. Everything went pretty well with PS except I failed to notice that the most important one was missing and by the time we arrived, it was too late to book! Just double check your reservations if you have them handle them for you.

The one criticism my DM had, was it seemed like we planned our days around when the food was available. We wanted to get our moneys worth LOL! The getting of sodas was a pain (I don't know if they've changed it).

Some of the food was delicious and of course, the desserts ( wines and cordials!). One regret I have, on our last night, we stopped by the room (Friday-the busiest) and checked out the food. Yum-shrimp! Tried one-it was delish. Went to our room, changed, came back, and all the hot food was gone and even though the room was going to be open for another 45 min. or so, they said no more hot food was coming-a great disappointment as the surcharge for concierge was $150 a night! We learned a valuable lesson-if you see food that you like, don't wait, take it when you see it, it may not return!

56 days and counting!
