New Thread - What have you seen on the EA?

I was down from 6-22 - 6-30. Arrived at EA at about 10pm. There were 8 Pontiac G6's and nothing else.

I got a nice one with the fancy wheels and sunroof and 1100 mile on it.

This car has a very large trunk and the option of putting down the rear seat backs if you need more room. 2-3 adults should have enough room in one of these.

Is there room in a G6 for 2 adults and 3 kids (12,12,10)? There are usually just 4 of us, but our nephew is coming with us this year...

We'll be doing MCO to DTD hotel, over to Port Canaveral...CRUISE... back to DTD hotel, back to MCO.

So the most we'll be in the car is 1 hr from PC to DTD.... :wave2:

Depending on the size of kids, you should be OK. It will be a little uncomfritable, but not too bad. We had 2 adults and 2 Tall Teens, and we were fine!

You also will want to consolidate your luggage. Usually going on a cruise means extra clothes. You may have to limit everyone to one bag. The trunk in the G6 is big, but for 5 people, I don't know. Or does Disney transport your bags for you to the cruise, like with ME?

I'm not worried about luggage, we travel light. The 4 of us went on a 3 day cruise and to US/IOA for 4 days and I took 1 large, 1 medium, 1 carry-on and 1 garment bag....We fit all this (except the garment bag) in the "trunk" of a PT cruiser last fall when we went down....No easy feat, but we got it all in, I'm guessing that most trunks hold more than that. I'm thinking about packing my nephews stuff in with our luggage anyway, that way we can consolidate luggage. If a bag gets lost, it won't be his with all his clothes....

I usually pack the carryon with the clothes, toiletries, we'll need for the 1st night/next day...So that's the only bag I have to bring into the hotel....THen when we get to the port I'll just check all the bags (I keep medications/camera in my purse). Same thing in reverse for the trip home, since we're only staying one night after the cruise this time.

Trip on July 8-12, there were only cars :sad2: . Two different kinds, I can't remember what they were but one was a little smaller, and the other one had a larger trunk. No SUVs or minivans. (That was at 11:30 am).

So what did you get?

Keep in mind that Emerald Aisle will only guarantee an intermediate. If you get a full size, you got an upgrade. SUVs or minivans are rare.

Yes, I hate seeing people think that they are "intitled" to an SUV or Van just because a select few people have gotten them.

Just back July 1- 17. On July 1st EA had 5 Toyata Sienas (sp) were we surprised. I actually did a double take, thinking we were in the ER aisle.
$270. for the 17 days.

:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Arrived with DW & DD (age 20) at 11:30 am on 7/7. Walked down the EA and found a Malibu, Corolla, some G6s and a blank parking space at the end of the aisle. An attendant asked if he could help me and I replied that I was just looking to see what was available. We chose the Malibu parked in the first space and drove toward the booth to check out. When we got to the blank space at the end of the aisle, another attendant was backing a vehicle into the space - a Sebring convertible! We all screamed at once as DW & DD jumped out and ran for the convertible. I got out and asked the first attendant if we could switch to the convertible. He smiled and said he would re-park the Malibu for me. DD had been bugging me to rent a convertible for a long time but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the extra $$$. This way we got to drive one for 16 days for the price of an intermediate. Got to love the EA! :love1:
