new thread--How did you like Narnia?

We took our dd5.5 to see it during the Disney Visa screening. She has never seen any other movies with similar battle scenes (like Star Wars) or other intense-type movies/tv shows. She did great in the movie and really enjoyed it. She was a bit anxious during the battle scenes (but then I don't like them much either) so we just closed our eyes together and waited for the calmer parts. There was no blood or any particular graphic violence - it is mostly implied rather than shown (like when Aslan kills the White Witch you don't see it - he just says it is taken care of) so she was fine with it. She has asked several times to go see it again and I felt fine with her seeing it. I would have generally gone to see it first since I didn't know whether it would be appropriate but with the screening it wasn't an option so we took the chance. So I would say a 6 y/o who has seen similar battle scenes and not been bothered should be fine with this movie.

We all enjoyed it and agreed that we really hope they make more of the books into movies. These are wonderful stories and we plan to read them all to dd5 starting this spring so having movies of at least some of them would be a nice addition.
