New Stroller Rental Service

Has anyone used the Magic Stroller with TALL children? My girls are 6 & 4. I know they can walk all day, but I'm sure we will need one at night. My girls are 48 inches & 44inches.

Thanks

My 5 year old is 44" and she fits in our Baby Jogger. I wouldn't say she has plenty of room, but she's comfortable in it. She has about an inch or two between the top of her head and the canopy. Her knees are definitely bent up when they're on the footrest.

We have a single and we're renting a double when we get there. I just put her in ours (its for our baby, so I've never actually put her in it!), and she looked big in it, but comfortable and she was a little harder to push, but she's also 50 lbs! The max weight on the double is 100 lbs, so I would worry about that a little with 2 big kids, but for a few times, it would probably be fine.

Has anyone ever had an experience with a stroller getting stolen? What do you do if you rent it from Magic stroller? Are you stuck without a stroller for the rest of the day?

The do have the option for the $25 "theft insurance". I'm not real sure what would happen if it did get stolen, but it at least means you aren't responsible for replacing a $400 stroller! I would assume they would get a replacement to you ASAP, but I'm going to email them now to see exactly what the deal is.

I think I am more worried about not having a stroller if it gets stolen with a 2 and a half year old than the replacement cost!

I just emailed Susan at Magic Strollers and asked her how they handle it. Here is her response:

In the (rare) event of your stroller being stolen we would replace it immediately for you, hopefully that will not happen!

We opted for the $25 insurance, and I did specifically mention that, so not sure what would happen if you didn't have the insurance and the stroller was lost. I'd rather not find out!

Thanks! I would definitely get the insurance. I just wanted to know how they would handle it. I am so paranoid about stuff like that!

Just got back and rented a double from Magic Stroller...

I got a text around 8am the morning we arrived saying that the stoller had been delivered. We arrived around 10 am and our stroller was waiting for us at bell services. Stroller was in great condition...looked practically brand new. It came in a big canvas bag with a parent organizer and rain cover.

Great stroller, easy to push, even with a bigger kid (my kids were probably about 75 pounds together). Somewhat bulky to take on the bus, but not a huge deal...we learned quickly that we needed to empty the basket to get it to fold up all the way. Loved the large sunshades and the rain cover was GREAT - we only needed it one day, but having the kids completely covered made it possible to stay at the park that day. I saw people with ponchos draped over the stroller, but it just didn't work as well. I'm really glad we had the rain cover.

I'd highly recommend Magic Strollers and we'll definitely use them again! :thumbsup2
