The Turf Club expanding dining offerings
Driven by Member feedback, The Turf Club at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is enhancing its dining offerings, beginning with an expanded menu debuting this month.

The new menu, featuring "creatively prepared American favorites," includes items ranging from crab-cake bites and barbecued chicken tenders to a traditional hamburger and grilled salmon BLT.

The expanded menu marks the first phase in a broader enhancement project as The Turf Club evolves to become The Turf Club Bar & Grill, complete with an expanded table-service dining area that's scheduled to debut in the summer of 2006.

Watch Vacation Magic for updates as this enhanced dining area takes shape.

Sounds great! Looking forward to it, but I guess I'll have to wait until my 10/06 trip to try it, my next 2 trips will be before it opens :guilty:

Burgers and chicken strips at SSR - this should make a lot of people happy! :rotfl2:

OK, I am going to try to work through this information, and this may get a bit complex, so bear with me. This Turf Club, Is this the restaurant that was origionally the restaurant that served, although was not part of, The Disney Village Resort Villas? The name of the restaurant at that time was known as the Pompano Grill. Now I know that when they started the Disney Institute debacle {thanks, Ei$ner} they changed the name of the restaurant to Seasons. Once the Institute folded, and they started building SSR, did they not incorporate Pompano Grill/Seasons into the SSR, and rename it The Turf Club, which was/is not actually open to the general public? Am I clear on this, I hope? To try and simplify the matter, is the Turf Club actually the Pompano Grill? :confused3

As long as they leave the menu alone at AP, I guess I can allow that artery clogging junk at the other venue, :rotfl:

No, The Turf Club is the little take out food area that everybody (ok, not everybody) has been complaining about. DVC figured since DTD was a hop, skip and a jump from SSR that a sit down restaurant was not needed on SSR Property.

At this is my take on it!LOL

I may be mis-remembering this, but I thought the take-out food area at SSR was called The Artist's Palette and that the Turf Club was (currently) a lounge area with a counter-service bar and pool table, TV, etc.

Ralph's right. The "food court" type restaurant is the Artist's Palette. If you exit AP away from the check-in and make a right down the hall, you'll find the Turf Club. It's on the second floor near the boat launch.

Currently, it's really nothing more than a game room with a bar area. Looks like they'll be serving some grill items in the future...

Finally answered my original question myself by staying at SSR two weeks ago, and yes, it was the Pompano Grill, then, Seasons at the Disney Institute, and yes, it was part of the Disney Village resort villas. a simple walk around the back answered my query on the subject. Haven't heard anything about a menu yet, hopefully, they will say something by the first of the year. Looking foward to it.
