New snacks on Dining Plan

This is great news I was budgetting for the snacks that were not included that we had to have in December (Dole whips, pastries from France, etc) for the July vacation, but now that they are included I will not need that $$ for snacks. We had half of our snack credits left because we kept choosing snacks that were nto included. Maybe the mad rush for 10+ snacks to go on the day of check out led the powers to be to think about it. I guess I don't care what prompted it, I'm just glad of it.

i'm a little confused. Is there a new list of snacks or is anything under four bucks included. Oh I can't wait. DH is going to be so impressed with the package I got us.

on Tuesday. Stayed at the Poly and had the DP. On the last day we still had 10 snack credits and I went to the gift shop, to use them. I asked the cashier what was included and he said any food item under $4.00!!! I only had a few minutes before our bus was arriving to take us to the airport so ended up getting 5 bags of chettoos and 5 lays stax containers, but they had lots to chose from. I wish I had more time..... :rolleyes1
Hope this helps someone. I also used the snack to get a smoothie at Animal Kingdom, the one with the straw/spoon

:cheer2:

OK I have to be honest ...We are going as a split stay 4 with ddp other with AP discount. I was really relieve not having to plan around ADRs for the second half but this really changes things!! REally we have confirmation on France pasteries, Norway amd dole whips???

I think I am more excited about the snacks now than the actual meals :rotfl:

Just caught wind of this...new snacks! OMG we leave in 5 days and I've been dreaming of Dole Whips :) . I too am excited about snacks :rotfl2:. This is great. Now if they can get the DP added at ALL kiosks I'll be happy. Last year we wanted fruit in Toontown and although fruit is a snack on the DP the kiosk there wasn't taking the DP so we had to buy apples :confused3

I just looked over at AllEars' menus.. EVERYTHING listed on the menu at the Main Street Bakery is under $4.

*boggles in disbelief*

Believe me, she means it. She has called me twice today just to talk snack talk. :lmao: :rotfl2: Anyone else dieting just to be able to eat all the yummies on the DP plan?

This is too awesome!

I hope it does not change before I go in September.

I do have to chuckle that some people were so unwilling to believe the changes.

Just goes to show that the DDP has a great bottom line for WDW that they would expand those snack options to make it more attractive and appealing to new and repeat DDP customers.

Where are these sold?

We saw people with them during the parade last year & they looked so good - but we made do with our free orange juice bars. :)

I just have to say the Dis is the best, We are leaving in 7 days and I actually haven't been on here much lately because the anticipation kills me towards the end so I try to think of other stuff. Anyway this so rocks!!! I wasn't even factoring the snack credits into our trip at all now I am so excited  . My major worry is that my DH will just go to Captain Cooks and use the snack credits on something stupid like milk. It is going to take me forever to explain it to him :confused3. For example last year we ended up with like 4 refillable mugs and the only one in my family that drinks pop is me :sad2:

Does anyone know if the nuts from the carts (they are coated with cinimmon or something) are included? I think there is a cart in Adventure Land - near Pirates and I know there is one at Epcot just after you cross over to world showcase. DH loves those.

I've had a few requests so I thought I would add the recipe here.

1 pound assorted nuts
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon (spelled wrong?)

Beat egg whites and water until foamy with wisk, Add cinnamon and sugar. Add nuts stir to coat well.

Bake spread out in 250 degree oven. for about 45 minutes unti dry. Stir every 10 minutes.

I use whole almonds, pecans and walnuts. When I make them for christmas I sometimes just make someones favorite nut. I not sure if they are the ones from the park but it sounded familar. They are great if not the exact thing.

You can make larger batches by sometimes adding more nuts just make sure they are all well coated with stuff.

Enjoy!

Hey, I'll be pretty excited if cotton candy is free... no one else has mentioned it, but I'm a huge fan of that sugary fluffiness, so here's hoping! :goodvibes

Hulagirl..........you read my mind! Anyone know about cotton candy? It is DD12's absolute favorite!

Just wanted to caution that I believe there are some limitations for the "anything under $4." You can still get a box of popcorn but not the bucket which is a little under $4....maybe $3.75. And as I mentioned before, you can't get the huge rice crispie squares at the Main St. candy store. I don't know that price but would think it is under $4. I think that exclusion might be because the smaller rice crispie treats are sold there too.
